The Session-Pro™ Double-Stack Mobile Guitar & Case Shelf Racks
Description
The Session-Pro™ Double-Stack Mobile Guitar & Case Shelf Rack provides high-capacity instrument storage for studios, collectors, and other spaces with valuable or heavier guitars and cases. Its two-level design can store up to 18 guitars or 20 cases while using a compact footprint, helping keep large collections organized without lining instruments across the room.
Choose a guitar-only, case-only, or hybrid configuration to match your collection. Steel-reinforced case rails provide additional support for heavy loads, while specially shaped guitar rails cradle compatible instruments securely. Nitrocellulose-safe materials protect guitars at contact points, and heavy-duty wheels with brakes make it easier to reposition the rack when needed. The Session-Pro is manufactured in the USA with black HPL sides, chrome-color trim, and birch rails.

FAQ
What is the difference between the guitar, case, and hybrid configurations?
The guitar-only configuration is designed for instruments, the case-only configuration is designed for cases, and the hybrid configuration provides both guitar and case storage. On the hybrid rack, the guitar cross-rails can be installed on either the upper or lower level.
What types of guitars fit the Session-Pro Double-Stack?
Most electric guitars and dreadnought acoustics with curved bottoms will fit the guitar rails. Instruments with extremely angular bottoms, including Flying Vs, Firebirds, and Explorers, will not fit directly on the guitar rails. For oversized instruments, use maximum measurements of 1.25 inches for neck depth, 42 inches for body length, and 5 inches for body thickness as a guide.
How many guitar cases can the Session-Pro hold?
The case rails are designed to hold up to 10 cased guitars per level, providing capacity for up to 20 cases depending on their size. Additional cases may physically fit, but more than 10 heavy or solid-body electric guitar cases per level is not recommended because the rails may begin to bow.
How much clearance is needed between the rack and a wall?
When storing cases, approximately 6-12 inches of clearance is recommended to accommodate their lean, depending on case size and positioning. For the guitar-only configuration, approximately 4-8 inches is recommended depending on the instruments.
What ceiling height is needed when storing cases on the upper level?
Approximate requirements are 78-80 inches for dreadnought cases, 86-88 inches for rectangular guitar cases or dreadnought bass cases, and 96-98 inches for rectangular bass cases. Removing the wheel kit can provide approximately 6 inches of additional headroom for case storage.
What ceiling height is needed when storing guitars on the upper level?
Most regular guitars require approximately 76-78 inches of ceiling height, while regular basses require approximately 84-86 inches depending on instrument size. Removing the wheel kit can save approximately 4 inches of height.
Can the Session-Pro hold rectangular and unusual guitar cases?
The case-only and hybrid configurations can hold rectangular cases. Cases for Gibson Firebirds and Explorers should fit, while Flying V cases should fit when one side and the bottom form a right angle. Fit for Flying V cases with wedge-shaped bottoms is not guaranteed.
Can bass cases be stored on both levels?
Rectangular bass cases can be stored on the upper shelf, but they will not fit on the lower shelf.
Can the rack be used without its wheels?
Yes. The wheel kit is included for mobility, but the Session-Pro can be assembled and used without the wheels.
Is assembly required?
Yes. All necessary hardware and illustrated instructions are included. Because the rack is semi-complex, assembly is easier with assistance from a second person.
