The AquaOx
Description
The AquaOx is AquaOx's flagship whole-house water filtration system, engineered to deliver bottle-quality water from every tap in your home. Designed for homes with up to 2.5 bathrooms, it pushes water through 9 distinct layers of premium filter media to eliminate 300+ contaminants - including PFAS ("forever chemicals"), chlorine, chloramines, lead, mercury, arsenic, pesticides, herbicides, and more. Whether your home runs on city municipal water or a private well, the AquaOx is built to handle both with the appropriate setup included.
Built entirely in the USA with NSF-certified components, the AquaOx is a self-maintaining system that automatically backwashes every few days, keeping the media bed fresh and effective without any cartridge swaps or manual intervention. With a rated media life of 2 million+ gallons and a 10-year warranty on the tank and control valve, this is a one-time investment in a decade-plus of cleaner, healthier water throughout your entire home.

FAQ
How long does the filter media last?
The AquaOx is rated for 2 million+ gallons of filtration, which works out to roughly 10 years for the average household. Because the system self-cleans on an automatic backwash cycle every few days, there are no annual cartridge swaps - the media bed stays fresh and effective without any manual effort on your part.
What does the 10-year warranty cover?
The warranty covers both the tank and the control valve for 10 years from the date of purchase. Filter media is considered a consumable and is not covered, and standard wear items such as seals and O-rings are also excluded. The system also comes with a 1-year money-back guarantee if it doesn't resolve your water quality issues.
Do I need a plumber to install the AquaOx?
AquaOx strongly recommends hiring a licensed professional plumber to handle the final connections. Installation typically takes 2 to 4 hours and costs roughly $300 to $800 depending on your location and plumbing setup. If you are comfortable cutting into your main water line and routing a drain line, a confident DIYer can handle it - but professional installation ensures everything is done safely and correctly.
Will the AquaOx reduce my water pressure?
Any whole-house filter adds some resistance to flow, but the AquaOx is engineered with a 15 GPM peak flow rate to minimize pressure impact for homes with up to 2.5 bathrooms. Most customers report no noticeable drop in pressure at the tap. For best results, confirm your incoming pressure and household demand with your plumber during installation.
Does it work with well water?
Yes. The AquaOx works with both city (municipal) and private well water. Well installations include a pre-sediment filter that sits ahead of the main tank to capture sand and grit before it can load up the media bed. For wells with a rotten-egg sulfur smell, AquaOx recommends pairing the system with their RE Edition upstream. For iron staining or bacteria, additional companion systems are available.
How does the AquaOx compare to a pitcher filter or fridge filter?
A pitcher or fridge filter only treats a single tap - usually just your drinking water. The AquaOx filters every tap, every shower, your washing machine, dishwasher, and ice maker simultaneously. You also eliminate the ongoing cost of replacement cartridges every few months. One system, one installation, and you're done for a decade or more.
Does the AquaOx remove fluoride?
The AquaOx is not specifically rated for fluoride removal. For fluoride reduction at the kitchen tap, AquaOx recommends pairing the system with the AquaOx RO Kitchen Sink reverse osmosis unit, which is designed to strip fluoride and reduce total dissolved solids at the point of use.
