A tanning ledge (also called a sun shelf or baja shelf) is a shallow, flat platform built into the pool - typically 6" to 18"+ deep - designed for lounging partially in the water. The LAYLO is a standard-width lounger built specifically for these areas. Its slimmer profile fits most standard-width sun shelves where wider loungers won't, and its optional riser system extends its compatibility to deeper ledges up to 22" of water depth.

Do I need the risers, and which riser size should I choose?

It depends on your tanning ledge water depth. If your sun shelf is approximately 8"-14" deep, the No Riser version works great. If your ledge is 12"-18" deep, choose the 4" Riser option. For the deepest shelves from 16"-22", go with the 8" Riser. When in doubt, measure the actual water depth on your tanning ledge before ordering. Optional pool weights can further fine-tune the fit at greater depths.

Do I need to buy weights separately?

Optional coated lead pool weights (4 lbs each) are sold separately and are needed when using the LAYLO in deeper water configurations or when lighter users feel they are floating off the seat surface. For typical shallow sun shelf use, no weights are required.

How long does assembly take, and do I need any tools?

How do I clean the LAYLO?

Avoid abrasive cleaners and any chemicals packaged in metal containers when cleaning polyethylene products.

Will the LAYLO get hot in the sun?

Like any plastic surface left in direct sun - coolers, stadium seats, and similar waterproof plastic products - the LAYLO can get warm to the touch, especially in darker colors. A quick splash of pool water will cool the surface down immediately before you sit. Lighter color options tend to stay cooler in direct sunlight.

If your return request is accepted, it will be up to you as the buyer to return the item in its original packaging, unworn and unused. You as the buyer will be responsible for paying the return shipping. We may be able to assist you in scheduling a pickup for return but the payment will still be your responsibility. All products are subject to a minimum 15% restocking fee based on the quality of the returned product and packaging.

Shipping Damages and Issues
You must inspect your order upon reception and refuse delivery if you see damage. DO NOT sign for delivery if there is apparent damage to the product. If you sign for the delivery and later claim shipping damage, there is very little we can do to help.

If your order does not require signing at delivery and is instead just dropped off at doorstep with damage, contact us immediately with photos of the damaged boxes.
