FAQ
What makes the 7.0U suitable for physical therapy and rehabilitation settings?
The 7.0U is purpose-built for rehab environments. Its 12-level adjustable crank arm accommodates patients with limited range of motion, while 50 levels of bidirectional resistance allow therapists to program highly specific and progressive exercise intensities. Forward and reverse pedaling options add further therapeutic versatility. The 440 lb weight capacity and wide height range (4'10" - 6'6") mean it can serve nearly any patient population in a clinical setting.
Does the bike require a power outlet?
Yes, the 7.0U requires a standard 120V/15AMP outlet. Plan for a nearby power source when positioning the bike in your facility. The included power cord connects directly to a standard wall outlet.
What does CSAFE connectivity allow me to do?
CSAFE (Communication Specification for Fitness Equipment) is an industry-standard protocol that allows the bike to communicate with compatible clinic management software and fitness tracking systems. It enables therapists to download session data - such as distance, time, calories, and power output - for documentation and patient outcome tracking over time.
Are heart rate monitoring devices included with the bike?
The bike includes built-in hand pulse sensors for contact-based heart rate monitoring, as well as a 5 KHz wireless heart rate receiver. However, wireless heart rate monitoring devices (such as chest straps) are not included and must be purchased separately.
How difficult is assembly, and is professional installation recommended?
The 7.0U does require some assembly. Spirit provides a detailed Owner's Manual with step-by-step assembly instructions. For commercial or clinical installations, professional assembly is recommended to ensure the bike is set up safely and correctly. Contact us at service@omahasportsandgames.com if you have questions about installation support.
What is the warranty on the Spirit 7.0U Upright Bike?
Spirit covers the 7.0U with a 5-year parts warranty and a 1-year labor warranty for US customers. Please note that prisons and correctional facilities are excluded from warranty coverage per Spirit's warranty terms.
