Special Carved Singing Bowl Set
Description
The Special Carved Singing Bowl Set is a complete, healing-grade chakra bowl collection hand-crafted in Nepal by a multi-generational family of master bowl makers. Each bowl is hand-hammered over one million times and put through three separate firing processes, with only 5-10% of all bowls meeting the strict standard of perfect healing-grade vibration - so every set represents a rare level of craftsmanship. Tuned precisely to the vedic system of chakras, these seven bowls span the full C-through-B scale, making them ideal for sound baths, chakra alignment, energy healing, meditation, and massage.
Crafted from a traditional 7-metal alloy - copper, tin, lead, zinc, iron, gold, and silver - these bowls carry a richness of tone that mass-produced alternatives simply cannot replicate. Copper, which makes up the dominant portion of the blend, is prized across cultures for its energy-amplifying and antimicrobial properties, adding both sonic depth and a sense of purity to every healing session. The matte finish with intricate laser carvings gives each set a striking, ceremonial aesthetic worthy of professional practitioners and dedicated home healers alike.

FAQ
What makes these bowls "healing-grade"?
Healing-grade refers to bowls that produce a perfect, sustained vibration aligned with the frequencies used in chakra and energy healing. During the production process, each bowl is evaluated for tonal purity and resonance - only about 5-10% of all bowls crafted meet this standard. The family in Nepal who makes and selects these bowls has developed this discernment over generations, ensuring every set that ships is truly of the highest quality.
What is a tingshaw and how is it used?
A tingshaw is a pair of small, handheld cymbals connected by a leather strap or cord. They are struck together to produce a clear, high-pitched ringing tone. In sound healing and meditation practices, tingshas are traditionally used to open and close sessions, clear energy in a space, or signal transitions during a sound bath. Your set includes one tingshaw ready to use.
How do I play the singing bowls?
There are two main techniques: striking and rimming. To strike, simply tap the side of the bowl gently with the mallet to produce a resonant tone. To rim (or "sing" the bowl), press the mallet or rotating stick firmly against the outer edge of the bowl and move it in a slow, steady circular motion - the friction creates a continuous, singing tone. Your set includes both mallets and rotating sticks to practice both methods.
What is a Puja blessing and why does it matter?
A Puja is a traditional Hindu and Buddhist ceremonial blessing performed at a sacred temple. The bowls in this set are blessed before they are shipped, and you will receive a video recording of that ceremony. This practice is a meaningful part of the spiritual tradition surrounding singing bowls in Nepal, and many practitioners feel it imbues the bowls with positive intention and sacred energy - connecting the instrument to its cultural and spiritual roots.
Are these bowls suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. While this is a professional-caliber set, it comes with everything you need to start playing right away - including mallets, rotating sticks, cushions, and a carry bag. Beginners will find the bowls easy to activate and the included accessories make getting started straightforward. The full seven-bowl chakra set is also a fantastic educational tool for learning about the relationship between sound, vibration, and the body's energy centers.
How should I care for and store my singing bowls?
Store your bowls on their included cushions to protect both the bowls and the surfaces they rest on. Keep them away from extreme moisture or humidity, and wipe them gently with a soft, dry cloth after use. The carry bag included in the set is ideal for transport and storage. Avoid dropping or knocking the bowls together, as this can affect their tuning over time.
