Slick Rock Cascade Conical Fire on Glass Bowl with Water Feature
Description
The Slick Rock Cascade Conical Fire on Glass Bowl brings together the dramatic beauty of open flame and flowing water in a single hand-cast concrete centerpiece. Designed for both residential and commercial landscapes, this conical bowl uses a plumbed scupper to route water around the fire components, keeping the interior dry and allowing for a full-output fire burner. The result is a stunning visual contrast - dancing flames surrounded by cascading water - that transforms any outdoor space into a focal point.
Each bowl is hand cast by local artisans using high-quality concrete, available in a wide range of colors and customizable with your choice of glass media or lava rock. The copper or stainless steel scupper adds a refined decorative element while improving water flow and delivering a clean, crisp waterfall edge. Whether installed poolside, on a patio, or as part of a commercial landscape design, the Cascade Fire on Glass Bowl is engineered to impress and built to last.

Size, Scupper & Media Options - Which to Choose
- 22" D x 10" H: The most compact option, ideal for smaller patios, intimate seating areas, or as an accent feature alongside other landscape elements. Features a 31K BTU electronic ignition burner. Great for residential use where space is at a premium.
- 29" D x 13" H: A versatile mid-size bowl that makes a strong visual statement without overwhelming a space. Features an 83K BTU electronic ignition burner. A popular choice for both residential and light commercial settings.
- 34" D x 14.5" H: The largest and most dramatic option, designed to anchor a space and serve as a true centerpiece. Features an 83K BTU electronic ignition burner. Best suited for commercial properties, resort-style pools, and large outdoor entertaining areas.
- Copper Scupper: Adds a warm, traditional aesthetic that pairs beautifully with earth-tone concrete colors. Copper naturally develops a patina over time, adding character and depth to the finished piece.
- Stainless Steel Scupper: A clean, modern look that complements contemporary landscapes and cooler concrete tones. Highly resistant to corrosion and maintains a consistent finish over time.
- Black Glass Media: Provides a bold, dramatic backdrop that makes the flame pop visually. Best for modern or minimalist outdoor designs.
- Amber Glass Media: Warm golden tones that enhance the color of the flame and create a cozy, inviting glow.
- Blue Glass Media: A striking contrast to the orange flame, ideal for pool environments or spaces with a cool-toned color palette.
- Clear Glass Media: A neutral option that lets the flame take center stage, working with virtually any design style.
- Lava Rock Media: A natural, rugged alternative to glass that gives the bowl an organic, earthy appearance.
- No Media: Order without media if you prefer to source your own, or if the bowl will be used without a media fill.

FAQ
What is the difference between a scupper and a spillway?
A spillway is used for water-only features or water and fire combinations where the SUBEIS submersible burner is used (flames dance on the water surface). A scupper, on the other hand, routes the water plumbing separately through a metal insert, keeping the bowl interior dry. This is necessary for fire on glass configurations where a traditional electric or match-lit burner sits inside the bowl - the scupper ensures water flows cleanly over the edge without contacting the fire components.
Do I need a professional to install this bowl?
Yes. The Cascade Fire on Glass Bowl requires both gas line connection and water plumbing. Gas line sizing and installation must be performed by a licensed, certified gas professional in your area. Water plumbing should also be handled by a qualified plumber or landscape contractor familiar with water features. Slick Rock recommends contacting a local certified gas professional for all installation questions.
Can I use this bowl with propane instead of natural gas?
Yes. All burner options for the Cascade Fire on Glass Bowl are available in both natural gas and propane configurations. Be sure to specify your fuel type when ordering so the correct burner is included with your bowl.
Is the media included with my order?
Media (glass or lava rock) is available as an add-on option at the time of purchase. You can choose from Black Glass, Amber Glass, Blue Glass, Clear Glass, or Lava Rock. If you prefer to source your own media or do not need any, you can also select "None" for the media option. Note that the media pan is included with electronic ignition and match-lit burner options, but the media itself must be selected separately.
What NEC code requirements apply to the electric ignition system?
Per Article 680 of the National Electric Code (2017 Edition), electric ignitions for pool and spa products must use a 30VDC system rather than a 24V system. This requires an external power source. For orders of 4 or fewer water and/or fire bowls, Slick Rock includes a compatible 185 Power Supply. For larger orders or questions about power supply selection, contact Slick Rock directly or reference their Power Selection Chart.
Can I add remote or Bluetooth control to my bowl?
Yes. Both the electronic ignition and SUBEIS burner options support optional upgrades including remote control, Bluetooth control, a timer switch, and an emergency shut-off key switch. These add-ons are available at the time of ordering and allow you to control your fire feature conveniently from a distance.
