Silver New Moon Singing Bowl Set
Description
The Silver New Moon Singing Bowl Set from Sukha Sound Healing is the rarest expression of the New Moon bowl tradition - a complete 7-bowl chakra set finished in all silver, crafted ceremonially during the new moon phase. Because production is tied to lunar cycles, only a handful of these sets can be made each year, making each one a truly limited and sacred instrument. Silver is chosen deliberately for its deep connection to moon energy, and each bowl carries an elevated silver content of approximately 7%, amplifying the mystical resonance these bowls are known for.
Hand-hammered over one million times and fired through three separate processes, every bowl in this set must pass an exacting standard - only 5-10% of bowls achieve the healing-grade vibration required. Each piece is hand-selected by a multi-generational Nepali family of master craftspeople and arrives etched with the hand-carved sun and moon symbol alongside the Tibetan mantra of Tara: "Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha." Tuned to the seven chakras of the Vedic system, this set is the definitive foundation for sound baths, moon rituals, meditation, chakra balancing, and deep energy healing work.

FAQ
Why are Silver New Moon Singing Bowls so rare?
New Moon singing bowls are crafted ceremonially only during the new moon phase, which limits production to just a few sets per year. The silver finish adds another layer of rarity - silver is used at a higher concentration (~7%) to align with lunar energy, and sourcing and working with this metal at that level requires additional skill and intention from the craftspeople.
What is the significance of the Tara mantra carved on the bowls?
The mantra "Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha" is the sacred mantra of Tara, a revered figure in Tibetan Buddhism whose name means "star" or "planet." She is associated with liberation, navigation, and spiritual crossing - known as "she who saves." Having this mantra hand-carved on each bowl infuses the instrument with protective and enlightening intention beyond its sound alone.
How do I use this set for a sound bath or chakra healing session?
Each of the 7 bowls corresponds to one of the seven chakras in the Vedic system (C through B). You can play them in sequence to guide energy through the body, or focus on a single bowl for targeted chakra work. The included mallets and rotating sticks allow for both struck and sustained tones. Cushions keep bowls stable during play, and the tingshaw can be used to open and close sessions.
What is a Puja blessing and why does it matter?
A Puja is a traditional Hindu and Buddhist ceremonial blessing performed at a temple to consecrate an object with spiritual intention and protection. Your set is blessed before it is sent to you, and you receive a video of this ceremony - a rare and meaningful inclusion that honors the sacred origins of these instruments and connects you to the lineage they come from.
How do I know the bowls will be high quality?
Only 5-10% of bowls produced meet the healing-grade vibration standard required for inclusion in a Sukha Sound Healing set. Each bowl is hand-selected by a multi-generational family of Nepali craftspeople who have dedicated their lives to this art. The combination of over one million hand-hammer strikes, three firing processes, and expert selection ensures that every bowl in your set produces the clear, sustained resonance needed for effective sound healing.
