SI-TEX T-900 Series Color LCD Radar

Description

The SI-TEX T-900 Series Radar brings next-generation Hyper-Digital Processing (HDP) Technology to your helm, delivering real-time presentation and superior target discrimination on the water. Engineered for serious mariners who demand clarity and precision, it virtually eliminates unwanted clutter and noise to reveal a crisp, detailed picture of nearby and distant targets. The brilliant 8.4" daylight-viewable color LCD with anti-reflective coating ensures outstanding visibility even in direct sunlight. Available in both a compact 25" radome and an open array configuration, the T-900 Series adapts to a wide range of vessels and use cases.

Whether you are navigating busy shipping lanes, monitoring fast-moving vessels, or simply keeping watch near coastal waters, this radar system delivers the reliability and feature depth professionals expect. From dual-range split-screen displays to optional AIS integration and automatic target tracking, the T-900 Series is a comprehensive situational awareness solution built for demanding marine environments.

Key Features

  • Hyper-Digital Processing (HDP) Technology: Advanced signal processing virtually eliminates noise for a cleaner, more detailed radar image and enhanced detection of smaller targets.
  • 8.4" Color LCD Display: Brilliant daylight-viewable screen with 480 x 640 pixel resolution and anti-reflective glare coating for outstanding viewing in all conditions.
  • True-Color Radar: Displays echoes in different colors based on signal strength so you can quickly assess target density and proximity at a glance.
  • 4kW Output Power: Provides strong, reliable returns for confident target detection at short and long ranges.
  • Selectable Range Scales: Range scales from 1/16 NM up to 36 NM (radome) or 48 NM (open array) to match your situation.
  • Two-Speed Antenna Rotation: 48 RPM and 24 RPM modes (requires 24V DC) for tracking fast-moving, close-in targets with ease.
  • Dual Range Radar: Split-screen display shows both long-range and short-range targets simultaneously - monitor a nearby buoy and a distant landmark at the same time.
  • True Trail Function: Visually distinguishes moving vessels from stationary objects by drawing motion trails, enhancing collision awareness underway.
  • Warning Zone Alerts: Configurable guard zone triggers alerts for targets entering or departing your preset area, keeping you aware of changing traffic.
  • Optional AIS Interface: Displays data on up to 100 AIS targets including MMSI, vessel name, course, and speed - ideal for traffic monitoring and collision prevention.
  • Optional ATA (Automatic Tracking Aid): Automatically tracks up to 50 user-designated targets, providing distance, speed, bearing, course, and closest point of approach.
  • IPX5 Waterproof Rating: Sleek, weather-sealed case designed for installation almost anywhere aboard your vessel.
  • RGB Output & CCD Camera Input: Connect up to two external monitors via RGB output, or display a split-screen radar and camera view for broader situational awareness.

Model Options & Which to Choose

  • T-941 - 25" Radome: The compact radome antenna is the go-to choice for most powerboats and smaller cruisers where space and simplicity are priorities. With 4kW output and a 36 NM range, it delivers serious performance in a self-contained, easy-to-install package that works well on arches, hardtops, and mast mounts. Ideal for coastal cruising, day runs, and overnight passages on vessels where a low-profile installation matters.
  • T-940 - 3.5' or 4.5' Open Array Antenna: The open array configuration is built for larger vessels, offshore passage makers, and anyone who demands maximum range and resolution. Open arrays offer faster target acquisition, narrower beam width, and extended range up to 48 NM - making them the preferred choice for commercial operators, offshore fishermen, and bluewater cruisers who need to see further and more precisely in all sea conditions.

Why You'll Love It

SI-TEX has been a trusted name in marine electronics for decades, and the T-900 Series reflects that legacy with cutting-edge technology that serious boaters can rely on. The Hyper-Digital Processing engine sets this radar apart from conventional units - clutter that obscures critical targets on ordinary radars simply isn't a problem here. The intuitive keypad layout, programmable function keys, and dedicated rotary knobs for Gain and STC mean you spend less time managing the display and more time navigating safely. Whether you are running a sportfishing boat, a coastal cruiser, or a commercial vessel, the T-900 Series gives you the situational awareness tools professionals trust. With options for AIS integration, automatic target tracking, and dual-range split-screen viewing, this is a radar system that grows with your needs and never leaves you guessing about what's around you.

Manuals & Guides

FAQ

What is the difference between the 25" Radome and the Open Array antenna?

The 25" radome (T-941) is a self-contained, compact unit ideal for smaller vessels and easy installation on arches or mast mounts, with a 36 NM maximum range. The open array antenna (T-940) is larger, offers a narrower beam width for better target resolution, and extends maximum range to 48 NM - making it the preferred choice for offshore and commercial use where maximum performance matters most.

Does the two-speed antenna rotation require a specific power supply?

Yes. The two-speed antenna rotation feature (48 RPM and 24 RPM) on the T-940 and T-941 models requires a 24V DC power input. If your vessel runs a 12V system, you may need a DC-DC converter to take advantage of this feature.

Can I connect this radar to an AIS receiver?

Yes, optional AIS interface is available and allows the T-900 Series display to show information on up to 100 AIS-equipped vessels, including MMSI number, vessel name, course, and speed. This is particularly valuable for traffic monitoring and collision prevention in busy waterways.

Is this radar compatible with external monitors?

Yes. The T-900 Series features RGB output that allows you to connect up to two optional external monitors, giving you the flexibility to replicate the radar display at a second helm station or chartroom.

What does the Warning Zone function do?

The Warning Zone (guard zone) lets you define a preset area around your vessel. The radar will automatically alert you when targets enter or leave that zone - a critical safety feature for monitoring vessel traffic while you are below deck or otherwise not actively watching the display.

Is professional installation required?

The T-900 Series includes a built-in flush mounting system designed to simplify installation. However, given the electrical connections, antenna cabling, and optional integrations (AIS, camera, external monitors), professional installation by a qualified marine electronics technician is strongly recommended to ensure optimal performance and safety.
