Trusted by physical therapists since 1985, the Shuttle Systems Ultimate is a professional-grade horizontal leg press system built for the full spectrum of rehabilitation and fitness needs. From geriatric recovery and bariatric therapy to elite athletic training, this machine delivers the versatility and durability that serious clinicians and coaches demand. Its robust bungee-cord resistance system provides a smooth, joint-friendly load range of 5 to 500 lbs, making it equally effective for gentle post-surgical rehab and explosive sport performance work.
Engineered and proudly made in the USA, the Shuttle Ultimate is a staple in physical therapy clinics, sports medicine centers, and high-performance training facilities nationwide. With enhanced user-friendly controls, a ball bearing pulley system, and a 600 lb weight capacity, this machine is built to handle real-world clinical demands day after day.

Style Options & Which to Choose
- Shuttle Ultimate: The flagship configuration offering the full core feature set - horizontal leg press positioning, 5-500 lb resistance range, ball bearing pulley system, and a 600 lb weight capacity. Weighing 244 lbs, this is the ideal choice for physical therapy clinics, sports medicine programs, and fitness facilities that need a proven, professional-grade leg press without the bariatric-specific upgrades. Best for most clinical and training environments.
- Shuttle Ultimate Plus: Builds on the Ultimate with three key enhancements designed for bariatric programs and patients requiring greater positioning flexibility. The Plus features a wider, structurally reinforced seat for increased comfort and capacity, a four-position adjustable backrest for varied exercise angles and patient accommodation, and dual PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) pulley system towers for upper-extremity and functional movement training. Weighing 279 lbs, the Ultimate Plus is the right choice for facilities serving a broader patient population or requiring comprehensive PNF-integrated therapy capabilities.

FAQ
What is the difference between the Shuttle Ultimate and the Shuttle Ultimate Plus?
The Shuttle Ultimate Plus adds three key upgrades over the standard Ultimate: a wider, structurally reinforced seat for bariatric patients, a four-position adjustable backrest for greater positioning flexibility, and dual PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) pulley towers for upper-extremity and functional movement training. The Plus also weighs 35 lbs more (279 lbs vs. 244 lbs). If your facility serves bariatric patients or needs integrated PNF therapy capabilities, the Plus is the better choice.
Is this machine appropriate for post-surgical rehabilitation?
Yes. The Shuttle Ultimate was specifically designed with rehabilitation in mind. Its horizontal positioning reduces spinal compression, and the bungee-cord resistance system starts as low as 5 lbs, making it appropriate for very early-stage post-surgical rehab such as ACL recovery, hip or knee replacement rehabilitation, and other lower-extremity protocols. It is trusted by physical therapists in clinical settings for exactly this purpose.
Does the Shuttle Ultimate contain latex?
Yes, this machine contains latex components. If you are operating in a latex-free clinical environment or serving patients with latex allergies, please contact us before purchasing so we can help determine the best solution for your needs.
How is this machine shipped?
Due to its size and weight (244-279 lbs), the Shuttle Ultimate ships via LTL freight. Delivery timelines for large items like this can vary - please email us at service@omahasportsandgames.com for an accurate ETA and to confirm delivery arrangements before placing your order.
Can the Shuttle Ultimate be used for athletic training, not just rehab?
Absolutely. While it was originally developed for physical therapy, the Shuttle Ultimate's resistance range extends up to 500 lbs, making it fully capable of supporting strength and power training for elite athletes. It is commonly used by sports medicine programs and performance centers for both injury prevention and performance enhancement protocols.
