Shuttle Systems MVP Leg Press
Description
The Shuttle MVP Leg Press is a professional-grade training and rehabilitation machine trusted by physical therapists, university strength coaches, and pro sports teams since 1985. Built around an elasticord resistance system, the MVP delivers a true three-in-one function: supine leg press, closed-chain rehabilitation protocols, and less-than-body-weight plyometric training - all in a single compact footprint. The padded kickplate and non-weight-bearing position work together to protect joints and the spine, making explosive training accessible even in early-stage recovery scenarios.
Whether the goal is developing elite athletic power or restoring functional movement after injury, the Shuttle MVP is engineered to handle both with precision. Available in five configurations ranging from the Classic to the Elite Plus, the MVP family scales from 300 lbs of resistance all the way to 800 lbs, ensuring the right fit for every application. Made in the USA and built to the exacting standards that have defined Shuttle Systems for decades, the MVP is a long-term investment in performance and recovery.
Key Features
- Three-in-One Functionality: Operates as a professional leg press, early-stage rehabilitation tool, and plyometric training platform - all in one machine.
- Overspeed Plyometric Training: Train in a less-than-body-weight environment while targeting the eccentric phase of plyometric movement for explosive power development.
- Closed-Chain Protocol Support: Supine leg press position enables closed-chain exercises favored in physical therapy and sport rehab settings.
- Elasticord Resistance System: Resistance is delivered through color-coded elasticords, allowing precise, incremental load adjustments without traditional weight stacks.
- Resistance Range (300-800 lbs): Five model options scale from 300 lbs (MVP Classic) up to 800 lbs (MVP Max), covering athletic training through elite sport performance needs.
- Padded Kickplate: Cushioned contact surface minimizes joint impact and protects the spine during high-intensity plyometric and press movements.
- Overall Footprint: 31" W x 109" L: Requires only 3' W x 10' L of floor space - efficient for clinical and training room environments.
- Weight Capacity: 450 lbs: Accommodates a wide range of users in professional athletic and rehabilitation settings.
- Made in the USA: Manufactured by Shuttle Systems, a trusted American brand with a legacy dating back to 1985.
- Contains Latex: Elasticords contain latex - check with users for latex sensitivities prior to use.

FAQ
What is the difference between a leg press and the Shuttle MVP?
A traditional leg press uses weight plates or a weight stack that always starts at or above body weight. The Shuttle MVP uses elasticords, which means resistance can be set to less than body weight - a critical feature for early rehabilitation where full loading would be harmful. It also enables plyometric training in a protected, joint-friendly environment that a standard leg press simply cannot replicate.
Is the Shuttle MVP appropriate for both athletes and rehab patients?
Yes - that's one of its core strengths. The elasticord system allows the resistance to be dialed down for early-stage rehabilitation and dialed up for elite athletic performance training. Physical therapists, strength coaches, and athletic trainers all use the Shuttle MVP precisely because it bridges the gap between clinical rehab and high-performance sport preparation.
Does the Shuttle MVP ship via freight?
Yes. Due to its size and weight (ranging from 292 to 310 lbs depending on model), the Shuttle MVP ships via LTL freight on a pallet. Professional installation and setup is also available - contact us at service@omahasportsandgames.com or call us for details and delivery estimates.
Does the Shuttle MVP contain latex, and is that a concern?
Yes, the elasticords used in the Shuttle MVP contain latex. If any users have a known latex allergy or sensitivity, this is an important consideration before purchase. Contact Shuttle Systems or our team for guidance on latex-free alternatives if needed.
Which MVP model is right for my facility?
It depends on who you're training. The MVP Classic (300 lbs max) is a great starting point for physical therapy clinics focused on rehabilitation. The MVP Pro (500 lbs) or Elite (700 lbs) are excellent for college athletic programs and multi-purpose training rooms. The MVP Max (800 lbs) is best suited for elite or professional sport settings with the strongest athletes. The MVP Elite Plus adds a PNF pulley tower for expanded upper-body and proprioceptive exercise options, making it the most versatile option for comprehensive programs.
How much space does the Shuttle MVP require?
The Shuttle MVP has an overall footprint of 31 inches wide by 109 inches long, and requires a minimum floor space of 3 feet wide by 10 feet long. Its efficient design makes it suitable for training rooms, rehabilitation clinics, and performance centers where space is at a premium.
