Shadow-Caster Eagle Ray LED Light Bar

Description

The Shadow-Caster Eagle Ray is a next-generation marine LED light bar that combines automotive-grade laser-driven white lights with a powerful 60-degree LED flood array for unmatched forward illumination on the water. Engineered for boaters who demand both long-distance visibility and wide-area coverage, the Eagle Ray is built to cut through fog, rain, and mist with ease. Its adjustable beam angle and brightness can be controlled via a push button switch or fully integrated into your multi-function display (MFD) through the Shadow-NET NMEA 2000 Light Commander interface.

The billet aluminum housing is available in black or white finish, and the borosilicate glass window ensures lasting durability in harsh marine environments. Designed and manufactured in Clearwater, Florida, the Eagle Ray represents Shadow-Caster's commitment to producing the finest marine LED lighting available. Whether you're navigating tight inlets at night or illuminating open water at speed, the Eagle Ray delivers the performance and control serious mariners expect.

Manuals & Guides

FAQ

What is the difference between the laser lights and the LED flood lights on the Eagle Ray?

The Eagle Ray uses two separate lighting systems working together. The laser-driven white lights provide a focused, long-distance beam that can penetrate fog, rain, and mist - ideal for spotting hazards, buoys, or shorelines far ahead. The 24-LED flood array provides a wide 60-degree spread of bright white light to illuminate a broad area in front of the vessel. Both are independently controllable in brightness and beam angle.

Is the Eagle Ray compatible with my Garmin or Raymarine MFD?

Yes. The Eagle Ray is compatible with the Shadow-NET Light Commander (SCM-LC-N2K), which provides full NMEA 2000 integration with Garmin, Raymarine, Furuno, Simrad, Lowrance, and B&G multi-function displays. This allows you to control brightness and beam angle directly from your chartplotter or MFD screen.

Does the Eagle Ray work on both 12V and 24V electrical systems?

Yes. The Eagle Ray accepts a 10-30V DC input, making it compatible with both standard 12V and 24V marine electrical systems. At 12V, current draw is 16.5A at maximum power (200W).

Can I control the laser and flood lights separately?

Yes. The laser lights and LED flood lights have independent on/off and brightness/beam angle controls. You can run just the flood, just the lasers, or both simultaneously, and adjust each to your preferred settings independently - whether using the push buttons, a rocker switch, or an MFD interface.

Where should I mount the Eagle Ray on my boat?

The Eagle Ray is designed to mount on hardtops, T-tops, radar arches, or similar structures at the front of the helm area for maximum forward lighting coverage. Its low-profile dimensions (2.5" H x 20" W x 5.4" D) allow it to fit cleanly on most mounting surfaces. Refer to the included product instructions or downloadable installation guide for detailed mounting guidance.

Is the Eagle Ray waterproof?

The Eagle Ray is built specifically for the marine environment with a billet aluminum housing and borosilicate glass lens window. While Shadow-Caster does not publish a specific IP rating on this product page, it is engineered to withstand the exposure to water, salt spray, and the elements typical of above-water marine lighting applications. For full environmental specifications, please refer to the product datasheet available for download.
