What is the difference between the ROL CLD and White Industries CLD hub options?
The ROL CLD hub is a solid, performance-ready centerlock hub built by ROL and is included at the standard $800 price point. The White Industries CLD hub is a premium USA-made upgrade known for exceptional precision, smoothness, and long-term durability - and comes at $900. If you're a frequent rider or want hubs that will outlast the rims themselves, the White Industries upgrade is well worth considering.
Which spoke count should I choose - 24/24 or 28/28?
If you're a lighter rider or prioritizing a snappier, more efficient feel on smoother roads and gravel, 24 spokes front and rear is the way to go. If you carry weight, ride rough terrain, or simply want the extra peace of mind that comes with a stronger wheel build, go with 28/28. Neither option sacrifices performance - it's about matching the wheel to your riding style.
Which freehub should I select for my drivetrain?
Select Shimano HG if you're running a Shimano or most microspline-compatible groupsets. Choose SRAM XDR if you're running a SRAM 12-speed road or gravel drivetrain (like SRAM Force, Rival, or RED AXS). Select Campagnolo N3W if you're running a Campagnolo 12-speed groupset. If you're unsure, check your rear derailleur or cassette for the brand and speed.
Are these tubeless compatible?
Tubeless compatibility is not explicitly stated in the product details. We recommend contacting us before purchase if tubeless setup is a priority for your build, so we can confirm compatibility with your intended tire system.
What kind of riding are the Range Alloy wheels best suited for?
The Range Alloy wheelset is an excellent choice for gravel riding, endurance road cycling, adventure bikepacking, and any application where durability and disc brake performance matter. The alloy rim construction is tough and reliable, making these wheels a great option for riders who want dependable performance across a variety of terrain.
