OceanLED Sport Colours Camera Edition Underwater Light with Integrated Camera

Description

The OceanLED Sport Colours Camera Edition is the world's first surface-mounted, full-colour underwater light with an integrated underwater camera - a true all-in-one marine lighting breakthrough. Designed for both recreational and professional boaters, it delivers 3,500 fixture lumens of vibrant underwater light alongside sharp, colour-accurate video capture in a single compact unit. Its wide-angle, distortion-free optics make it ideal for docking assistance, submerged hazard detection, and recording underwater action on sport fishing or leisure vessels.

Built tough with marine-grade aluminum bronze housing, specialist toughened glass, and OceanLED's proprietary Tritonium™ anti-fouling coating, this light is rated IP69K and engineered to withstand the harshest marine environments. Installation requires just a single 12.5mm (0.5") hull penetration, making it suitable for new builds and retrofits alike - and every unit is backed by OceanLED's trusted No-Hassle Warranty.

Key Features

  • World's First Integrated Camera Light: The only surface-mounted full-colour underwater light with a built-in underwater camera - no separate camera installation needed.
  • 3,500 Fixture Lumens: Delivers powerful, vibrant underwater illumination powered by OceanLED's most advanced optical technology for maximum light penetration.
  • Wide-Angle, Zero-Distortion Camera: 1/4" CMOS sensor with auto white balance and auto exposure captures a natural, distortion-free perspective perfect for dockside maneuvering and hazard detection.
  • IP69K Certified Waterproofing: Rigorously tested to IP69K standards with advanced seals and specialist toughened glass for one of the most reliable underwater lights available.
  • Tritonium™ Anti-Fouling Coating: OceanLED's proprietary coating resists marine growth, reducing long-term maintenance for boats left in the water for extended periods.
  • Marine-Grade AB2 Aluminum Bronze Housing: Robust, corrosion-resistant construction built specifically for harsh saltwater environments.
  • Simple Surface-Mount Installation: Requires only a single 12.5mm (0.5") hole for cable entry - fast, easy, and suitable for nearly any hull type including sport fishers, pontoons, wake boats, and houseboats.
  • Built-In Driver: Self-contained electronics mean no external driver box - cleaner installation and fewer points of failure.
  • Broad Operating Voltage: Operates on 9-32V DC, compatible with both 12V and 24V marine electrical systems.
  • 2-Year No-Hassle Warranty: Backed by OceanLED's industry-trusted warranty for complete peace of mind.

Variant Options & Which to Choose

  • NTSC (012123CDN): Outputs video at 720x480 pixels at 30fps. Best for boats registered or operated in North America, Japan, and other NTSC-standard regions. This is the standard choice for most US buyers.
  • PAL (012124CDP): Outputs video at 720x576 pixels at 25fps. Designed for boats in Europe, Australia, and other PAL-standard regions. Choose this if your chartplotter or display system uses the PAL video format.
  • NTSC with Isolation Mounting Kit (012125CDNI): Same NTSC video output as above, plus an isolation mounting kit for installations where electrical isolation between the fixture and hull is required - ideal for aluminium hulls or sensitive electrical systems.
  • PAL with Isolation Mounting Kit (012126CDPI): Same PAL video output as above, with the added isolation mounting kit. The best choice for European or Australian boaters with aluminium hulls or where hull isolation is recommended.

FAQ

What is the difference between the NTSC and PAL versions?

NTSC and PAL refer to the video format standard used by the camera output. NTSC outputs at 720x480 pixels at 30fps and is the standard for North America and Japan. PAL outputs at 720x576 pixels at 25fps and is used in Europe, Australia, and most of the rest of the world. Choose the version that matches the video input standard of your chartplotter or display screen. If you're unsure, check your MFD (multi-function display) manual or contact the manufacturer.

Do I need the Isolation Mounting Kit version?

The Isolation Mounting Kit variants (NTSC-I and PAL-I) are recommended for aluminium hulls or boats where electrical isolation between the fixture and hull is required to prevent galvanic corrosion or interference with onboard electronics. If you have a fibreglass hull and no specific isolation requirements, the standard NTSC or PAL version is typically sufficient. When in doubt, consult with your marine electrician or OceanLED's support team.

How difficult is the installation?

Installation is designed to be straightforward - requiring only a single 12.5mm (0.5") hole drilled through the hull for the cable to pass through. The surface-mount design means no large cut-outs are needed, making it suitable for both new boat builds and retrofits. OceanLED provides a detailed install manual and mounting template (available as downloads above) to guide you through the process. Most installations can be completed by a competent DIYer or a marine electrician.

What display or chartplotter is the camera compatible with?

The Sport Colours Camera Edition outputs a standard composite video signal (1.0Vp-p, 75 Ohm, BNC connector), which is compatible with most marine chartplotters and MFDs that accept composite video input, including Garmin, Simrad, Raymarine, and others. Check that your display has a BNC or RCA composite video input (with an adapter if needed). The on-page image shows the camera feed displayed on a Garmin screen as an example.

How does the light perform in murky or dark water?

The Sport Colours Camera Edition is engineered for low-light performance. The camera has a minimum illumination rating of just 0.01 Lux, meaning it can capture usable video even in very dim conditions. Combined with the 3,500 lumens of light output using OceanLED's advanced optical technology - designed to penetrate further than competing lights - you get both excellent illumination and sharp video even in challenging conditions.

What accessories are compatible with this light?

The Sport Colours Camera Edition is compatible with several OceanLED accessories, including the OceanBridge Multizone Lighting Controller (013201), OceanConnect (013204), 2-Way DMX Junction Box (013205), and 4-Way DC Power Junction Box (019901). These accessories allow for advanced control, multi-zone lighting setups, and integration with your boat's existing electronics.
