Oceaneva 6000m Deep Marine Explorer VI Grade 5 Titanium Automatic Watch - Black Dial
Description
The Oceaneva Deep Marine Explorer VI is a landmark achievement in watchmaking - a 6000m-rated, Grade 5 Titanium automatic dive watch built by the only USA-based brand to ever test their timepieces at true ocean depths. As the 6th brand in history to reach this rating, Oceaneva has crafted a flagship series that sits comfortably alongside watches costing many times more. The Black Dial variant features a striking textured relief wave dial in black with gray wave lines, luminous stainless steel hands, and a blue-tipped sweeping seconds hand that bring serious purpose and visual identity to every glance.
Limited to just 50 individually serialized pieces per model variant - and 500 total worldwide - this is a genuine collector's timepiece, not a mass-market dive watch. Grade 5 Titanium delivers 227% greater strength and 225% greater hardness than stainless steel at 40% less weight, keeping the entire watch at only 4.6 oz. Whether you're logging deep dives or building a serious watch collection, the Deep Marine Explorer VI delivers horological history you can wear.

Why You'll Love It
The Deep Marine Explorer VI is one of the most exclusive and technically accomplished dive watches ever produced by an American brand - and it's priced at a fraction of what European competitors charge for comparable depth ratings. With only 50 pieces of this exact Black Dial variant in existence, wearing one means joining a very short list of collectors who own a genuine piece of horological history. The all-titanium construction keeps it featherlight at just 4.6 oz, so it wears comfortably whether you're in the water or at the surface. Every detail - from the Damascus steel bezel to the Virginia Beach-inspired caseback engraving - reflects a level of craftsmanship and storytelling rarely found at this price point. Backed by a stainless steel warranty card and premium packaging worthy of the watch inside, this is a purchase you'll be proud to display and pass down.

FAQ
What makes Grade 5 Titanium better than stainless steel for a dive watch?
Grade 5 Titanium is 227% stronger and 225% harder than standard stainless steel, yet weighs 40% less. For a dive watch worn during physical activity or extended dives, this means better impact resistance, superior corrosion resistance in saltwater environments, and dramatically reduced wrist fatigue - all without sacrificing durability. It's the material of choice for serious tool watches and aerospace applications alike.
Is 6000m water resistance really necessary, and what does it mean in practice?
Very few watches ever reach the wrist rated beyond 300-500m, so 6000m is an extraordinary engineering achievement. In practice, it means the watch can withstand the crushing pressure found in the deep ocean - roughly 600 bar. For everyday divers and collectors, it's a statement of extreme build quality and structural integrity. Oceaneva is the only USA-based brand to have actually tested their watches at true ocean depths to verify this rating.
What is Damascus Steel and why is it used on the bezel?
Damascus steel is created by forge-welding two or more types of steel together - in this case 304 and 316L stainless steel - and manipulating them to create distinctive layered patterns. The result is a bezel that is visually unique, extremely hard, and highly resistant to wear. No two Damascus steel bezels look exactly the same, adding to the exclusivity of each piece.
How does the limited edition serialization work?
Each watch in the Deep Marine Explorer VI series is individually engraved with a serial number in the format XX/50, meaning your watch's specific number out of the 50 produced for that model variant. This number is matched on the stainless steel certificate of authenticity included with the watch, confirming its provenance and making it a documented, traceable collector's piece.
Can the strap be swapped out for a different one?
Yes. The watch uses a standard 22mm lug width, which is a common size compatible with a wide range of aftermarket straps - including rubber, neoprene, NATO, and metal bracelets. The included German FKM rubber strap is high-quality and purpose-built for diving, but swapping to a different strap for casual or dress wear is straightforward.
Does the watch require any winding or battery changes?
No battery is needed. The SW200 is a Swiss-made automatic (self-winding) movement that charges itself through the natural motion of your wrist. If the watch has been sitting unworn, you can manually wind it by rotating the crown. It maintains a 38-hour power reserve, so it will keep running overnight or through a day without wearing it.
