Mettler Sys*Stim 206 Portable One-Channel Neuromuscular Stimulator
Description
The Sys*Stim 206 is a lightweight, portable one-channel neuromuscular stimulator from Mettler Electronics - a brand with decades of trusted clinical experience dating back to the original ME 200 muscle stimulator introduced in 1973. Designed for professional use, it delivers four distinct waveforms to address a wide range of treatment needs, from TENS pain relief to muscle stimulation and iontophoresis. The narrow pulse waveform is optimized for TENS applications, while the wide and AC pulses target effective muscle stimulation across small, medium, and large muscle groups. Its Direct Current waveform enables treatment of denervated muscles and iontophoresis, making it a genuinely versatile clinical tool.
Built with safety as a top priority, the Sys*Stim 206 features internal error codes that automatically halt treatment and guide the clinician to resolve any issue. It pairs seamlessly with the Mettler Sonicator 716 for comprehensive combination therapy sessions.

FAQ
Can I use the Sys*Stim 206 for Interferential (IFC) therapy?
No. The Sys*Stim 206 does not offer the IFC waveform. If interferential therapy is required, you would need to look at a different model in the Sys*Stim lineup.
What conditions can I treat with the Sys*Stim 206?
The 206 offers three versions of a biphasic waveform preset to treat small, medium, and large muscle groups, making it effective for neuromuscular stimulation across a wide range of patients. It also offers a DC waveform specifically used to treat denervated muscles and to perform iontophoresis.
Can I treat two patients at the same time with the 206?
No. The Sys*Stim 206 is a single-channel device and can only treat one patient at a time. If you need to treat two patients simultaneously, consider the two-channel Sys*Stim 226.
What electrodes work best with the Sys*Stim 206?
The higher the quality of the electrode, the better the treatment outcome. Mettler recommends using either the Mettler EZ Trode self-adhesive electrodes (known for superior conductivity and longevity) or the Mettler V-Trode self-adhesive neurostimulation electrodes, which feature soft rubber lead wire attachments for easy connection.
Can the Sys*Stim 206 be used for combination therapy with ultrasound?
Yes. The Sys*Stim 206 is an ideal companion to the Mettler Sonicator 716, allowing clinicians to deliver combination ultrasound and electrical stimulation therapy in a single treatment session.
What safety features does the Sys*Stim 206 have?
The Sys*Stim 206 includes internal error codes that are designed to automatically stop a treatment if a problem is detected and notify the clinician on how to resolve the issue. Patient safety is the top priority in the design of all Mettler Sys*Stim devices.
