Mercedes Sprinter 144" Low Roof Interior Panel Kit

Description

The Mercedes Sprinter 144" Low Roof Interior Panel Kit by Alpine Van Works is a refined, lightweight, and versatile paneling solution built for van converters who want a professional finish without the professional build time. Every wall and ceiling panel is CNC cut and professionally upholstered, designed to bolt directly into your van's existing frame using nearly all stock holes - no drilling guesswork, no jury-rigged mounts. With a 1/8" upholstery foam backing for a plush feel and noise reduction, plus a 1/4" reflective foam insulation barrier, this kit delivers more intrinsic insulation than any comparable panel kit on the market.

Whether you're building out the ultimate adventure van or a cozy home on wheels, this kit is engineered to go together in less than a day so you can spend less time in the garage and more time on the road. Pair it with an AVW pre-cut insulation kit, Flatline Van Co. bed platforms, and the included L-track to create a fully outfitted, modular interior that grows with your build.

Key Features

  • CNC Cut & Professionally Upholstered: Every panel is precision-cut and wrapped for a clean, consistent finish throughout your van interior.
  • 1/8" Upholstery Foam Backing: Adds a plush feel underhand and helps reduce road noise inside the van.
  • 1/4" Reflective Foam Insulation: Creates a radiant barrier and thermal break between the panel and the van's metal walls - more intrinsic insulation than any comparable kit.
  • Installs in Less Than a Day: Bolts into the van frame using nearly all stock holes, keeping the process fast and frustration-free for DIY builders.
  • Flanged L-Track Included: Two full-length strips of flanged L-track run the length of the van, providing a modular mounting system for cabinets, beds, and accessories.
  • Warm White LED Lighting: (8) warm white LED lights included for the 144" wheelbase - aluminum bezel mounted for a clean, integrated look.
  • Marathon or Sunbrella® Horizon® Fabric Options: Choose abrasion-resistant Marathon fabric (Made in the USA) for rugged use, or upgrade to Sunbrella® Horizon® vinyl for a bleach-cleanable, wipe-down surface.
  • Black Hexaply Lower Panel Option: PVC-coated textured finish below the L-track for added durability - ideal for dogs, cargo, or heavy use.
  • Flatline Van Co. Compatible: Panel kit is designed to work with Flatline Van Co. bed platforms mounted directly to the included L-track.
  • 2007-2018 & 2019+ Model Year Support: Available configurations for both pre-facelift and newer generation Sprinter vans.

Options & Which to Choose

  • Marathon Fabric: The standard fabric choice - highly abrasion-resistant, easy to spot-clean, and available in a wide array of colors. Its subtle texture brings warmth and a modern, professional look to any van build. Made in the USA. Best for builders who want rugged durability and a classic van conversion aesthetic.
  • Sunbrella® Horizon® Fabric (Upgrade): A premium vinyl upgrade that is easy to wipe down and safe to clean with a bleach solution without damaging its look or feel. Best for families with kids, pet owners, or anyone who needs a truly sanitary, low-maintenance surface.
  • Black Hexaply Lower Panels (Add-On): A PVC-coated, textured finish applied to the lower panels below the L-track. Best for cargo vans, dog-friendly builds, or any setup where the lower walls take a beating.
  • Standard Floor Height (1/2" to 3/4"): For builds using a basic subfloor setup. The most common choice for a clean, low-profile floor.
  • Medium Floor Height (3/4" to 1-1/4"): Recommended for the AVW Insulated Floor Kit. Accommodates the added thickness of an insulated floor system.
  • Tall Floor Height (1-1/4" to 2"): Designed for use with VanLife Tech or SmartFloor systems, which require extra clearance beneath the finished floor surface.
  • Terrawagen Tidy Trim: Thermoform plastic trim wrapped to cleanly cover all exposed metal at the headliner corners, around the sliding door, and at the optional driver-side crew window. The most refined, polished finish option.
  • AVW Standard Wood Trim: The included baseline trim option - still a clean, finished look at the exposed metal corners, at a lower cost than the Tidy Trim upgrade.

Why You'll Love It

Alpine Van Works has built this kit for the DIY van builder who wants a result that looks factory-built without spending weeks on the interior. The bolt-in design respects your time and your van's existing structure, using stock mounting points wherever possible so you're not compromising the integrity of your rig. The dual-layer foam construction - upholstery foam plus reflective insulation - means this panel kit does double duty, finishing your interior and keeping temperatures comfortable on the road.

With full L-track integration, your build doesn't stop at the panels - every cabinet, bed platform, and accessory has a solid foundation to mount to. The wide selection of fabric, trim, and floor height options means this kit adapts to your build, not the other way around. For Sprinter van owners who want a clean, durable, and genuinely well-engineered interior, this is the kit that gets it done right the first time.

FAQ

Does this kit fit both 2007-2018 and 2019+ Sprinter vans?

Yes - you select your model year during checkout and the kit is configured accordingly. The 2019+ facelift Sprinter has some differences in body panel mounting points, so it's important to select the correct year range to ensure a proper fit.

Does the kit include insulation, or do I need to buy that separately?

The panels themselves include a 1/4" reflective foam insulation backing that acts as a radiant barrier and thermal break from the van's metal walls. However, full van insulation (such as spray foam or rigid foam between the ribs) is sold separately. Alpine Van Works offers pre-cut insulation kits that are designed to pair with this panel kit for maximum thermal performance.

Can I cut openings for fans, windows, or AC units in these panels?

Yes - the panels can be cut for fans, AC units, and bunk windows. The kit includes super glue to prevent fabric fraying at any new cuts. Most fans and AC units come with trim rings or shrouds that cover your cut lines neatly. Pre-cut openings are only available for the front stock roof vent location - all other openings must be cut by the installer. For 10x33 bunk windows, order compatible Bunk Window Trim separately.

What tools do I need to install this kit?

You'll need a drill, a 17/32" metal drill bit with a stop collar, a riv-nut tool (drill attachment, pneumatic, or manual), a marker, and a T25 bit or Allen wrench set. All fasteners - bolts, riv-nuts, and screws - are included in the kit.

Which fabric should I choose - Marathon or Sunbrella® Horizon®?

Marathon is the standard choice and is the most abrasion-resistant fabric available. It's easy to spot-clean, looks great, and is Made in the USA. If you have dogs, kids, or need a surface you can disinfect with a bleach solution, upgrade to Sunbrella® Horizon® - it's a marine-grade vinyl that wipes clean effortlessly and holds up to heavy use without fading or degrading.

Is this kit compatible with bed platforms and cabinet systems?

Yes - the included flanged L-track runs the full length of the van on both sides and is the primary mounting point for cabinets, accessories, and bed platforms. The kit is specifically noted as compatible with Flatline Van Co. bed platforms. Van Wife Components bed platforms can also be used, but will require additional riv-nuts since they use J-channel mounting rather than L-track.
