FAQ
Does the R3XM need to be plugged into an electrical outlet?
No - the R3XM features a self-powered brushless generator that produces its own electricity as you pedal. It can also run on standard 100V-240V AC power if preferred. This dual capability gives facilities the freedom to place the bike wherever it is most convenient, without worrying about outlet access.
Who is the R3XM Recumbent Cycle designed for?
The R3XM is purpose-built for clinical and medical fitness environments - including physical therapy clinics, hospital wellness centers, and rehabilitation facilities. Its step-through design, swiveling seat, and independently adjustable crank arms make it ideal for users with limited mobility, those recovering from injury, or anyone who needs a highly adaptable cardio option.
How do the adjustable crank arms work?
The pedal crank arms on the R3XM can be individually adjusted in length from 3.8 cm to 17.8 cm (1.5" to 7") without any tools. Each arm locks into numbered positions, making it simple for therapists to set, verify, and document the exact configuration for each client session. This is especially valuable for users with asymmetrical mobility or limited knee and hip range of motion.
What workout programs are available on the R3XM?
The R3XM console offers six built-in workout programs: Manual, Constant Watts, Fat Burn, Interval Training, Target Heart Rate, and Fitness Test. The dot-matrix LED display shows key metrics including time, distance, calories, RPM, heart rate, watts, and METs - giving clinicians the data they need to guide sessions effectively.
What is the weight capacity of the R3XM?
The Matrix R3XM supports a maximum user weight of 182 kg (400 lbs.), making it suitable for a broad range of users in a commercial or clinical setting.
