Lift Foils Laird 5'2 LIFT5 eFoil
Description
The Laird 5'2 LIFT5 is a pro-signature eFoil shaped in direct collaboration with Laird Hamilton - designed for riders who demand one board capable of handling flat-water distance sessions and demanding ocean surf alike. At 64 liters distributed across a narrow 23.5-inch width, it sits in a class of its own: enough volume for bigger riders to get clean takeoffs, without the wide, swing-heavy platform that slows you down in flight and in carves. The pulled-in nose, narrower tail, and surf-oriented rocker profile are deliberate choices that translate directly to how the board tracks at speed and responds off the tail.
Built on the LCS Connect System, this board is fully compatible with every propulsion, wing, and battery in the Lift ecosystem - and with a battery adapter, it can even run the LIFTX battery and 55mm propulsion. Hand-laid hexagonal carbon construction, exclusive to the Laird collection and assembled at Lift's Puerto Rico factory, gives the 5'2 a structural rigidity that standard carbon builds can't match under the torque load of the 68mm motor and Gen5 battery weight. This is a limited 2026 production run built for riders who are ready to ride at the highest level.
Key Features
- 64L Narrow Profile (5'2 x 23.5" x 4"): 1.5 inches narrower than the closest comparable LIFT5 at similar volume - keeps rails pulled in for deeper carves and reduces aerodynamic drag in flight.
- Hexagonal Carbon Weave Construction: Hand-laid at Lift's Puerto Rico factory. Exclusive to the Laird collection - structurally stiffer than standard carbon under the torque load of the 68mm motor and Gen5 battery weight.
- 68mm Propulsion + 200 Havoc LCS Front Wing: The 200 Havoc generates lift at lower speeds, ideal for surf where timing and pickup matter. The 26 Flow back wing tightens response off the tail.
- Quiet Ride Technology: Direct drive motor with no gears - hear the water, not the eFoil. Whisper-quiet operation in any condition.
- 2026 Gen5 Full Range Battery (2.2 kWh): Up to 90 minutes of on-power ride time. IP68-rated, double-walled, wireless connection, no cables or latches. Charges to 80% in just one hour.
- LCS Connect System - Full Ecosystem Compatibility: Tool-free swaps across mast length, wings, and propulsion. One-button start for instant pairing. With a battery adapter, runs LIFTX battery and 55mm propulsion - one board, two configurations.
- Elite Hand Controller: Carbon fiber housing with titanium trigger. Features GPS ride tracking, real-time battery readout, sunlight-readable display, and is fully buoyant. Compatible with every Lift eFoil ever made.
- Max Rider Weight: 220 lbs. (100 kg): Engineered for bigger riders who need takeoff float without sacrificing agility or carving precision.
- Surf and Flat Water Rocker Profile: Pulled-in nose and narrower tail shaped for open ocean, chop, and flat-water distance - tracks clean at speed and responds immediately.
- Limited 2026 Run: Pro-signature edition shaped in collaboration with Laird Hamilton. Not a regular production model - built for a specific rider at a specific performance level.
Finish Options & Which to Choose
- Laird Off-White: A clean, minimal aesthetic with a premium feel. Suits riders who prefer a classic, understated look on the water without sacrificing the Laird collection's signature construction quality.
- Laird Blue Java: A bold, vibrant finish with strong visual presence. Great choice for riders who want to stand out in surf and flat-water sessions alike.
- Laird Carbon Hex Black: The most visually striking option - the hexagonal carbon weave is fully exposed in a blacked-out finish. Showcases the hand-laid construction and is unlike anything else in the Lift lineup.

Why You'll Love It
The Laird 5'2 LIFT5 is the result of a direct conversation between Laird Hamilton and Lift's design team - a board that doesn't compromise between surf performance and flat-water capability. Bigger riders no longer have to choose between volume and agility; the 5'2's narrow profile delivers both, and the hand-laid hexagonal carbon construction means every session is backed by a board built to handle real conditions with real power. Lift Foils has earned a reputation as the benchmark in eFoil engineering, and the Laird collection represents the absolute peak of what that means - exclusive construction, premium materials, and a design brief that came directly from one of the most accomplished watermen in history. The Gen5 battery system and Elite Hand Controller ensure your setup is as advanced as the board itself, with 90 minutes of range, GPS tracking, and tool-free assembly from battery to wing. If you're an experienced rider looking for the highest-performance eFoil in Lift's lineup, this is the board built for you.

FAQ
How long does the Gen5 battery actually last per session?
The 2026 Gen5 Full Range Battery provides up to 90 minutes of on-power ride time. Actual ride time varies based on rider weight, speed, and propulsion type - heavier riders or those riding at higher throttle will see shorter sessions, while cruising riders can maximize the full range. The battery charges to 80% in just one hour, so back-to-back sessions are very manageable.
What is the LCS Connect System and why does it matter?
LCS (Lift Connect System) is Lift's proprietary tool-free assembly platform that connects the battery, propulsion, wings, and mast without any wires, screws, or latches. Everything clicks into place securely, and a one-button start pairs and powers the system instantly. This means faster setup, cleaner transitions, and full compatibility with every component in the Lift ecosystem - past and future.
Who is the Laird 5'2 best suited for?
The 5'2 is designed for intermediate to advanced eFoil riders, particularly bigger riders (up to 220 lbs.) who want a high-performance board for both surf and flat-water. Its narrow 23.5-inch width and surf-oriented rocker profile make it most rewarding for experienced riders who can take advantage of its reactive tail response and carving capability. Beginners would be better served by the wider, more stable 5'4 Cruiser.
Is the Laird 5'2 compatible with other Lift wings and batteries?
Yes - built on the LCS platform, the 5'2 is compatible with the full Lift wing and propulsion library. With a battery adapter, it can also run the LIFTX battery and 55mm propulsion, giving you two distinct configurations from one board. This makes it one of the most versatile boards in the LIFT5 lineup despite being a limited edition.
What does "limited 2026 run" mean - will this board be available again?
The Laird 5'2 LIFT5 is a limited production run for 2026, meaning Lift Foils has produced a finite quantity and does not plan to continue it as a standard lineup model. Once stock is gone, it is gone. If you're interested, securing your order sooner rather than later is strongly recommended.
How is the board shipped and does it require assembly?
The Laird 5'2 ships fully assembled and ready to configure - the LCS system means you simply click in your battery, attach your wings and propulsion tool-free, and go. Shipping lead time is approximately 6-8 weeks. The board comes with a board bag, propulsion case, and wing bag for safe transport.
