Lift Foils 4'9 LIFT5 F Sport eFoil
Description
The 4'9 LIFT5 F Sport is the responsive, progression-ready entry point in Lift Foils' LIFT5 F lineup - compact enough to feel lively and quick, yet stable enough to build real skills from your first session. Built with proprietary fiberglass construction, this board absorbs the bumps and touchdowns that come with learning without sacrificing the agility that keeps advanced riders engaged. At 67 liters of volume and 4'9" in length, it strikes a precise balance between stability and agility that suits intermediate to advancing riders who want a board that rewards commitment.
The LIFT5 F runs on the same LCS (Lift Connect System) architecture as every current-generation Lift eFoil, meaning the setup you start with is a foundation you can build on for years. Swap wings, upgrade your mast to a 32" carbon unit, add the Blowfish inflatable rail system for extra stability during early sessions, and the board keeps pace with your progression. With up to 90 minutes of ride time from the Gen5 Full Range Battery and whisper-quiet direct drive motor technology, the 4'9 Sport is where serious eFoil riding begins.
Key Features
- Proprietary Fiberglass Construction: Absorbs impact and handles the demands of learning and shared use - more forgiving on touchdowns, more resistant to everyday dings than carbon alternatives.
- Aluminum LCS Propulsion (28" mast): Refined aluminum alloy mast built for stiffness and stable flight at 28" height - provides controlled, predictable riding and is upgradeable to the 32" Carbon mast when you're ready.
- Quiet Ride Technology: Whisper-quiet direct drive motor eliminates motor noise so you hear the water, not the eFoil.
- 2026 Gen5 Full Range Battery (2.2 kWh): Delivers up to 90 minutes of on-power ride time and is 23% lighter than the 2025 battery - charges to 80% in just 80 minutes. IP68-rated, double-walled, and fully potted for sealed protection.
- LCS Connect System: Tool-free, no-wire assembly from battery to wing. One-button start pairs and powers instantly with integrated cooling for hands-free, peak-performance setup.
- Blowfish Compatible: Works with the Blowfish inflatable rail system, adding volume, stability, and versatility - perfect for learning and sharing your ride, with max rider weight increasing to 285 lbs. with Blowfish attached.
- Bolt-on High Modulus Wings: Full access to Lift's entire bolt-on wing lineup - upgrade your foil as your riding evolves with zero special tools required.
- Lift Jet Propulsion: Included stock, providing consistent, safe, and powerful thrust for confident riding at all skill levels.
- Lift Hand Controller: Precision throttle control with haptic feedback, GPS ride tracking, and a sunlight-readable display. Durable, buoyant, and compatible with every Lift eFoil.
- Upgraded Transport System: Board bag with battery access panel, backpack-style straps with sternum support, and a propulsion case with integrated storage for propellers, chargers, and tools.

FAQ
Is the 4'9 Sport right for a beginner, or should I choose the 5'4 Cruiser?
The 4'9 Sport is best suited for riders who want a balance of stability and agility - it works for beginners who are comfortable with water sports and want room to grow, but riders who are completely new to eFoiling or who plan to share the board with family members may prefer the larger, more forgiving 5'4 Cruiser. The good news is that both boards support the Blowfish inflatable rail system, which adds significant stability to the 4'9 Sport during the early learning phase. If you want a board you'll never outgrow, the 4'9 Sport is the stronger long-term choice.
What does "LCS" mean, and why does it matter?
LCS stands for Lift Connect System - it's Lift's proprietary tool-free assembly platform that links the battery, mast, and wing together with no wires, screws, or latches. One-button start pairs and powers the whole system instantly. It also includes integrated cooling for the eBox. In practical terms, it means you can go from carry bag to riding in seconds, and every component you upgrade in the future - wings, mast, battery - will be compatible with the same LCS architecture.
Can I upgrade components on the LIFT5 F Sport over time?
Yes - that's one of the strongest selling points of the LIFT5 F platform. The 28" aluminum mast is upgradeable to a 32" carbon unit for more advanced flight performance. The bolt-on wings are compatible with Lift's full wing lineup, so you can dial in your ride for surf, cruising, or high-performance carving. The Gen5 Battery and LCS system are shared across all current Lift eFoils, so your investment in accessories carries forward.
What is the Blowfish and do I need one?
The Blowfish is Lift's optional inflatable rail system that attaches to both LIFT5 F board sizes. It adds volume, width, and stability - raising the max rider weight from 220 lbs. to 285 lbs. and making the board significantly easier to balance on during early learning. It's sold separately ($599) and can be removed once you've developed your riding confidence. It's not required, but it's highly recommended for first-time eFoilers or anyone sharing the board with heavier riders.
How does the board ship, and will it arrive assembled?
The LIFT5 F ships as a complete package with all components included. The LCS system is designed for tool-free assembly, so setup is quick once you receive it. Due to its size and weight (68 lbs. fully assembled), it typically ships via freight carrier. Please email us at service@omahasportsandgames.com for specific delivery details and ETA before placing your order if you have questions about your location.
How long does the battery last and how quickly does it charge?
The 2026 Gen5 Full Range Battery delivers up to 90 minutes of on-power ride time at a 2.2 kWh capacity. Actual ride time varies based on rider weight, speed, and propulsion type. The battery charges to 80% in just 80 minutes, making it practical to get back on the water quickly between sessions. It's IP68-rated and double-walled for full waterproof protection, and includes smart diagnostics accessible through the Lift App.
