Garmin LiveScope XR LVS62 Transducer
Description
The Garmin LiveScope XR LVS62 is the next evolution of Garmin's legendary LiveScope technology, purpose-built for coastal and open-water fishing where depth and range matter most. Featuring extended sonar reach up to 500 feet in freshwater and 350 feet in saltwater, this transducer gives serious anglers a live, real-time picture of what's happening beneath and around the boat like never before. Whether you're scouting structure in deep offshore waters or tracking fish circling your hull in real time, the LVS62 delivers the clarity and detail you need to make confident decisions on the water.
Equipped with a built-in stabilization system, vivid color palette options, and support for Forward, Down, and Perspective modes, the LVS62 is a fully capable upgrade for anglers already running a LiveScope system or those ready to build a new setup from scratch. Its Reverse Range Offset and Compress Range features ensure you get the most useful picture possible at any depth, making it equally effective in tight close-range situations as it is exploring the deep.
Key Features
- Extended Range - Up to 500' Freshwater / 350' Saltwater: The Reverse Range Offset feature maximizes your screen real estate to show fish and structure at extreme depths.
- Compress Range Technology: Maintains a clear view of targets close to your boat while simultaneously tracking fish and structure farther away.
- Real-Time Live Sonar Imaging: Live sonar provides the most accurate, up-to-the-second picture of what's beneath and around your hull - no lag, no guessing.
- Built-In Image Stabilization: Keeps your sonar image steady on a compatible chartplotter even in rough water and choppy conditions.
- Seven Vivid Color Palettes: Choose from aqua, Caribbean, lava, and more to maximize contrast and clearly distinguish fish from structure.
- Forward, Down, and Perspective Modes: Three distinct viewing modes let you adapt to any fishing scenario - scout ahead, look directly below, or view from a lifelike above-water perspective.
- Transducer Beamwidth - 20 degrees x 135 degrees: Wide-angle coverage gives you a broad, detailed view of the underwater environment.
- Frequency - 265-550 kHz / 500W Transmit Power: High-frequency range delivers exceptional target separation of 22 inches at 100 feet.
- 20 ft Cable / 21-Pin Connector: Ample cable length with a robust 21-pin connection for a clean, secure install.
- Perspective Mode Mount Included: Comes ready to run all three sonar modes right out of the box.
Sonar Module Options & Which to Choose
- Transducer Only (No Sonar Module): Includes only the LVS62 transducer and mounts. This is the right choice if you already own a GLS 10 sonar module from a previous LiveScope system and want to upgrade to the extended-range LVS62 transducer without purchasing duplicate hardware. A GLS 10 sonar module is required for operation.
- Full System (With GLS 10 Sonar Module): Includes both the LVS62 transducer and the GLS 10 sonar black box, plus all necessary cables and mounts. This is the ideal choice for first-time LiveScope buyers or anyone who needs a complete, ready-to-install setup with no additional hardware required.

Why You'll Love It
Garmin's LiveScope platform is trusted by tournament anglers, guides, and serious weekend fishermen across the country - and the XR takes that reputation even further with depth capabilities that open up an entirely new world of fishable water. The LVS62 is built with the same engineering precision Garmin is known for, and the image stabilization system means you get a usable, reliable sonar picture even when conditions aren't ideal. Whether you're fishing deep coastal ledges, offshore structure, or freshwater reservoirs with significant depth, this transducer is engineered to perform where other sonars simply can't reach. The ability to run Forward, Down, and Perspective mode from a single transducer makes this one of the most versatile live sonar systems on the market today. For anglers who demand the best and want a system that will grow with their chartplotter setup, the Garmin LiveScope XR LVS62 is the clear choice.

FAQ
Do I need the GLS 10 sonar module to use the LVS62 transducer?
Yes - a GLS 10 sonar black box is required for LiveScope functionality. The transducer-only version is ideal for existing LiveScope owners who already have a GLS 10 and simply want to upgrade to the extended-range LVS62 transducer. If you do not already own a GLS 10, you should select the full system bundle which includes both the GLS 10 and the LVS62 transducer.
What is the difference between LiveScope and LiveScope XR?
LiveScope XR (Extended Range) is the latest generation of Garmin's live sonar platform, specifically designed for deeper coastal and open-water environments. The key difference is range - LiveScope XR reaches up to 500 feet in freshwater and 350 feet in saltwater, significantly deeper than the original LiveScope system. It also adds features like Reverse Range Offset and Compress Range for better image utilization at those extended depths.
What viewing modes does the LVS62 support?
The LVS62 supports Forward Mode (scouts ahead of your boat in real time), Down Mode (shows live activity directly beneath your boat), and Perspective Mode (provides a lifelike above-water perspective view of what's under the surface). The Perspective mode mount is included in the box.
Which chartplotters are compatible with the LiveScope XR LVS62?
The LVS62 is compatible with a wide range of Garmin chartplotters, including the ECHOMAP UHD, ECHOMAP UHD2, ECHOMAP Ultra, ECHOMAP Ultra 2, and many GPSMAP series units (7xx, 9xx, 12xx, 84xx, 86xx). It also works with the Force Kraken trolling motor and the GLS 10 sonar module. Check Garmin's compatibility list or contact us to confirm your specific device is supported.
Can the LVS62 be used for both freshwater and saltwater fishing?
Yes - the LVS62 is designed for both freshwater and saltwater use. Maximum depth capability is 500 feet in freshwater and 350 feet in saltwater, making it an excellent choice for coastal anglers, offshore fishermen, and deep lake anglers alike.
