Flatline Van Co. Sprinter 170" EXT Standard Roof Rack with Light Bar Fairing

Description

Built specifically for the 2007+ Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500/3500/3500XD in the 170" Extended High Roof configuration, the Flatline Van Co. Standard Roof Rack is the go-to platform for serious adventure van builds. Its wider footprint compared to the Low Pro Series opens up more real estate for solar arrays, rooftop tents, decking panels, kayak carriers, MaxTrax, and more. The 6.5" tall side rails are tall enough to conceal solar panels and other gear, keeping your roofline clean without sacrificing functionality.

This variant features the Light Bar Fairing - a notched-out front fairing engineered to accept most 50" LED light bars, including the recommended Baja Designs ONX6 50" Arc LED Light Bar. Nine fully adjustable 10-series anodized aluminum crossbars are included, each with drop-in t-slot hardware channels for effortless gear mounting. Strategically placed L-track mounting points line the side rails, and stainless steel pucks interface cleanly with stock or aftermarket Sprinter roof rails. This rack is a true bolt-on upgrade designed for a DIY install in just a few hours.

Key Features

  • Light Bar Fairing: Notched-out front fairing designed to accept most 50" LED light bars - compatible with Baja Designs ONX6 50" Arc and similar bars. Light bar not included.
  • Total Rack Weight - 99 lbs: Lightweight all-aluminum side rails and crossbars keep unsprung weight low without sacrificing rigidity.
  • 9x Adjustable 10-Series Crossbars: Fully repositionable anodized aluminum crossbars with drop-in t-slot hardware channels for mounting solar panels, fans, AC units, and decking.
  • 6.5" Tall Side Rails: Generous rail height conceals solar panels and rooftop gear for a cleaner look while adding structure to the rack platform.
  • 53.4" Usable Width: Wide enough to fit rooftop tents under 53.4", rooftop storage boxes, kayak carriers, MaxTrax, and Universal Decking Panels (3 panels across, no gaps).
  • L-Track Mounting Points: Integrated L-track in the side rails lets you strap down gear quickly and securely at multiple positions.
  • Fiamma F45S 400 Awning Compatible: Pre-drilled awning mounting locations make it easy to add a Fiamma F45S 400 Awning at any time - no drilling required.
  • Stainless Steel Hardware Throughout: Stainless steel pucks and fasteners resist corrosion and provide a solid, lasting connection to stock or aftermarket roof tracks.
  • Fitment - 2007+ Sprinter 170" EXT High Roof: Designed specifically for the Sprinter 2500, 3500, and 3500XD in the 170" Extended, High Roof body style.
  • DIY-Friendly Install: Bolts directly to stock or aftermarket roof rails - most installs completed in a few hours with no cutting or drilling required.

Why You'll Love It

The Flatline Van Co. Standard Roof Rack is the kind of build-once, use-forever platform that serious van lifers and overlanders trust to carry everything they need on the road. With all-aluminum construction and stainless steel hardware, it's engineered to outlast the van itself - handling daily exposure to sun, rain, trail dust, and road vibration without complaint. The light bar fairing variant makes it easy to run a powerful 50" LED light bar without custom fabrication, opening the door to serious off-road lighting right out of the box. The adjustable crossbar system and integrated t-slots mean your setup can evolve as your needs do - add solar today, decking panels tomorrow, and a rooftop tent next season. Ships flat-packed in a few boxes with free delivery to the lower 48, and it goes on in a few hours with basic hand tools. For Sprinter owners who want a roof rack that works as hard as they do, this is the one.

FAQ

Does this rack fit my Sprinter van?

This rack is designed specifically for the 2007 and newer Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500, 3500, and 3500XD in the 170" Extended, High Roof configuration. It does not fit the standard 144" wheelbase or low-roof variants. If you are unsure of your wheelbase or roof height, check your VIN, door jamb sticker, or vehicle build sheet before ordering.

Is the light bar included with the Light Bar Fairing option?

No - the light bar is not included. This variant includes the notched front fairing designed to accept most 50" LED light bars. Flatline Van Co. recommends the Baja Designs ONX6 50" Arc LED Light Bar, but the fairing is compatible with most 50" bars on the market. The light bar must be purchased separately.

How difficult is it to install this roof rack?

The Standard Roof Rack is designed for a DIY install with basic hand tools. It bolts directly to the stock or aftermarket roof rails on the Sprinter 170" Extended and can typically be installed in a few hours. Flatline Van Co. provides detailed installation guides (available for download on this page) and video support to walk you through the process step by step.

Can I add a Fiamma F45S awning to this rack?

Yes - the Standard Roof Rack for the 170" Extended includes pre-drilled mounting locations specifically for the Fiamma F45S 400 Awning. You can add the awning at any time after installing the rack without any additional drilling or modification. The Fiamma F45S is sold separately.

Can I add solar panels or decking to this rack?

Absolutely. The 9 included 10-series crossbars feature drop-in t-slot hardware channels that make it straightforward to mount solar panel brackets or Flatline Van Co. Universal Decking Panels. The rack fits 3 of the 17.75"-wide Universal Decking Panels across its 53.4" usable width without any gaps, allowing you to build anything from a full rooftop deck to a partial walkway.

How does this rack ship, and how long does delivery take?

The Standard Roof Rack ships flat-packed in several boxes and delivers free to any address in the lower 48 states. In-stock racks typically ship the following business day. For a specific delivery ETA, please email us at service@omahasportsandgames.com and we will confirm current lead times.
