Description
The Dynamic Fluid Fitness M850 Upper Body Ergometer (UBE) is a premium, full-commercial-grade arm cycle engineered for versatile upper-body training across fitness, rehabilitation, and performance conditioning environments. Built around Dynamic Fluid Fitness's patented Twin Tank Variable Fluid Resistance system, it delivers 10 adjustable resistance levels with a smooth, consistent "on-water" feel at any speed - from light rehab intensity all the way up to high-performance conditioning.
What sets the M850 apart is its exceptional adaptability: a removable contoured seat allows use from a wheelchair, fitness ball, standing position, or standard seated setup, making it one of the most inclusive ergometers on the market. A Bluetooth-enabled Interactive Performance Monitor tracks time, speed, distance, stroke rate, calories, watts, and heart rate, while the fully adjustable crank system - height, length, and handle angle - ensures a personalized fit for virtually every user. FAQ
What is an Upper Body Ergometer (UBE) and who is it for?
An Upper Body Ergometer is an arm-cycling machine that provides cardiovascular and strength training for the upper body. It's ideal for athletes, rehabilitation patients, wheelchair users, and anyone looking for a low-impact workout that targets the arms, shoulders, chest, back, and core. The M850 is especially well-suited for clinical rehab settings and inclusive commercial fitness facilities.
Does the M850 require electricity to operate?
No - the M850 is completely self-powered by the user's motion. This means you can place it anywhere in your facility without needing to be near an electrical outlet, offering maximum flexibility in layout and placement.
Can wheelchair users operate the M850 UBE?
Yes. The contoured seat is fully removable, allowing wheelchair users to roll directly up to the machine and use it comfortably. This makes the M850 one of the most accessible upper-body ergometers available for inclusive training environments.
How does fluid resistance compare to magnetic or air resistance?
Fluid resistance provides a uniquely smooth, natural feel that closely mimics on-water or real-world movement. Unlike magnetic resistance, which can feel mechanical, or air resistance, which is purely speed-dependent, fluid resistance delivers consistent, progressive force that responds naturally to how hard you push. Dynamic Fluid Fitness's Twin Tank system is especially noted for its quiet, smooth performance across all 10 levels.
What metrics does the Bluetooth IPM monitor track?
The Interactive Performance Monitor tracks time, speed, distance, stroke rate, calories, and watts. It also supports heart rate monitoring, making it easy to track workout intensity and progress over time. The Bluetooth auto-detect technology syncs automatically when you begin your session.
How does this machine ship, and will it require assembly?
Due to its size and weight - over 264 lbs net - the M850 ships via freight carrier. Freight deliveries are typically curbside unless you arrange for inside delivery. Some assembly is expected upon arrival. Please email us at service@omahasportsandgames.com for delivery details, ETA, and assembly information specific to your location.
What is the warranty on the M850?
The M850 includes a Residential/Light Commercial Warranty: 5 years on the frame, 2 years on the fluid tank, 2 years on mechanical parts, and 1 year on wearing components. For full warranty details, refer to the warranty card included with the machine or contact us directly.
