The Douglas® MAX Batting Tunnel Frame is the strongest, professional-style batting cage frame on the market. Its innovative design allows frame poles to be positioned for any tunnel cage size—offering maximum flexibility for your facility.

This robust system uses a tension cable support design that requires only corner poles—no center or side poles are needed to keep the net tight and secure along the tunnel’s length. Fewer poles mean less ball ricochet and interference, creating a safer and more realistic hitting experience.

For larger setups, the shared-pole multiple cage design allows easy expansion into double, triple, or even custom cage layouts without sacrificing strength or stability.

Frame Construction

The frame is built from massive 8-5/8″ OD steel poles with a 0.322″ wall thickness, each 16′ in length. Poles are coated with a durable black powder finish for corrosion resistance and long-term durability. They’re installed 4′ deep, allowing for a maximum installed net height of 11’6″.

Each pole includes welded steel tabs to secure the net cable tensioning system. Frame poles are positioned according to tunnel width and length—customizable to fit your training space perfectly.

Hardware & Support System

The MAX frame’s tension system uses 1/4″ galvanized aircraft cable with a 6,100 lb. break strength, running the full length of the tunnel. This provides unmatched tension and net support.

All net-to-cable hardware is made from long-lasting steel, including quick links, turnbuckles, cable clamps, and carabiner clips. Batting tunnel nets are sold separately, allowing you to choose the ideal size and mesh style for your facility.
