Cabrinha Bump Prone Foil Board 2026
Description
Prone foiling is where it all started, and the Cabrinha Bump is built for riders who take it seriously. Returning for 2026 with refined outlines and an expanded size offering, the Bump is one of the most highly regarded prone foil boards in the Cabrinha lineup - tuned to match the demands of modern prone foiling where every size is deliberately shaped to perform, not simply scaled. Smaller sizes stay thin and compact, delivering maximum sensitivity, control, and maneuverability for riders who want a tight, surf-driven feel once on foil. As sizes increase, the outlines evolve toward a more mid-length inspired shape, improving paddling efficiency, wave entry, and glide without sacrificing responsiveness.
Built with the same Apex Pro Carbon construction as the Swift, the Bump releases cleanly, accelerates quickly, and stays direct underfoot. It excels as a pure prone foil board while also working seamlessly with Foil Drive for riders looking to extend sessions, link waves, or explore further without compromising feel. This is not a crossover board trying to do everything - the Bump is a prone foil surf machine, tuned for committed riders who paddle, pop, and pump their way into sessions others don't.
Key Features
- Apex Pro Carbon Construction: An exceptionally light and buoyant EPS core fused with a full biaxial carbon wrap for a stiff, responsive ride.
- Refined 2026 Outlines: Updated shapes across all sizes - each deliberately tuned for performance, not just scaled up or down.
- Thin High-Performance Profiles: Retains volume without sacrificing sensitivity, keeping advanced riders connected to the foil.
- Wide Squash Tail (4'5\"): Smallest size features a wide squash tail for quick acceleration and tight, surf-style carving.
- Progressive Tail Narrowing: Tails narrow as sizes increase, giving each board a precisely tuned balance of lift, speed, and control.
- Mid-Length Inspired Outlines (Larger Sizes): Improved paddling efficiency and wave entry on the 5' and 5'4\" without losing foil feel.
- Foil Drive Friendly: Designed to work seamlessly with Foil Drive systems for extended sessions and wave linking.
- Strapless and Strapped Compatible: Versatile enough for powerful carving strapless or landing aerial maneuvers strapped.
- Premium Board Bag Included: Comes with a zipper-less roll top board bag for protection and easy transport.
- Eco-Conscious Packaging: Ships in reusable Flexi-hex packaging.
Size Options & Which to Choose
- 4'5" (30L, 3.7kg): The most compact and performance-driven option. Thin profile, wide squash tail, and tight dimensions deliver maximum sensitivity and quick acceleration. Best for lighter, experienced prone foilers who want a raw, surf-driven feel and aggressive carving capability.
- 5'0" (38L, 3.9kg): The mid-range sweet spot. Outlines begin to open up for improved paddling and easier wave entry while retaining a responsive feel underfoot. Ideal for intermediate to advanced riders looking for a versatile all-round prone foil board.
- 5'4" (46L, 4.2kg): The most accessible size in the range. Mid-length-inspired outlines make paddling easy and wave entry almost automatic, while the narrowed tail maintains control and foil feel. Great for larger or heavier riders, those building prone foiling skills, or anyone prioritizing paddle power and session endurance.

FAQ
What size Bump should I choose?
Your ideal size depends on your weight, skill level, and the type of waves you're riding. The 4'5" is best for lighter, more experienced riders who want maximum sensitivity and a tight surf feel. The 5'0" is the all-round sweet spot for intermediate to advanced foilers. The 5'4" suits heavier riders, those still developing their prone skills, or anyone who wants easier paddling and more volume underfoot. When in doubt, go with the middle size or email us and we'll help you decide.
Is the Bump compatible with Foil Drive?
Yes - the Bump is fully Foil Drive compatible across all sizes. This makes it easy to link waves, extend your session, or explore further from shore without compromising the board's natural feel and surf character. It's a great pairing for riders who want to maximize time on foil.
Do I need to buy straps separately?
Yes, straps are sold separately. The board does include 4x M8x30mm mounting bolts and 4x T-nuts, so the hardware is ready to accept strap inserts. Contact us if you need help identifying compatible strap options for the Bump.
What foil systems are compatible with the Bump?
The Cabrinha Bump is designed to work with Cabrinha's foil systems and follows standard foil mounting configurations. We recommend pairing it with a Cabrinha foil setup for optimal performance, though it may be compatible with other brands using standard mounting patterns. Contact us or Cabrinha directly for confirmation on third-party foil compatibility.
Is a board bag included with the Bump?
Yes - every 2026 Cabrinha Bump comes with a premium zipper-less roll top board bag to protect your board during transport and storage. It's a quality included accessory that reflects the premium nature of this board.
What is the difference between the Bump and other Cabrinha prone foil boards?
The Bump is Cabrinha's dedicated prone foil surf board - it is not a crossover design. It's purpose-built for paddling, popping up, and pumping into waves. Other Cabrinha boards like the Logic or Quest may be designed for different disciplines or foiling styles. If pure prone surf foiling is your focus, the Bump is the one built specifically for that mission.
