BUILT Strength 'OG' Series Vertical Leg Press (New)
Description
The BUILT Strength OG Series Vertical Leg Press is a commercial-grade plate-loaded machine engineered around a true 90-degree vertical press path - the most direct line of force available in the leg press movement. By eliminating the angled sled geometry found on traditional leg press machines, it maximizes quad, glute, and hamstring recruitment while dramatically reducing lateral shear forces under heavy loads. An oversized 36" x 18" footplate opens up a full range of stance variations from a single station, making it one of the most versatile lower body machines available.
Built for serious lifters, competitive athletes, and commercial facilities that demand elite loading capacity and long-term durability, the OG Series starts at 110 lb and accepts up to 20 x 45 lb plates on the sled. A lumbar-supported seat and spring-loaded quick-adjust safety stops make solo heavy training safe and efficient, while six integrated weight horns keep the station organized and floor-clear between sets.
Key Features
- True 90-Degree Vertical Press Path: Delivers the most direct line of force through the leg press movement - maximizing quad, glute, and hamstring recruitment while minimizing the lateral shear forces that angled sled presses generate under heavy loading.
- Oversized 36" x 18" Footplate: Accommodates shoulder-width, wide, narrow, and high-foot stance variations from a single station - allowing targeted emphasis on quads, glutes, or hamstrings with each foot placement.
- Spring-Loaded Quick-Adjust Safety Stops: Adjust the safety catch position quickly without tools before every set. Non-removable design keeps the safety system permanently functional for secure solo training under heavy loads.
- Lumbar-Supported Seat: Maintains correct spinal alignment throughout the full range of motion - from bottom position to lockout - keeping the lower back stable and safe under heavy vertical loading.
- 20 x 45 lb Plate Capacity: Elite-level loading on the sled supports serious progressive overload for advanced athletes and strength facilities.
- 6 Integrated Weight Horns: Built-in storage keeps plates organized, accessible, and off the floor - maintaining a clean, efficient station during heavy training sessions.
- 110 lb Starting Weight: Plate-loaded design starts at 110 lb, providing a practical base load before plates are added.
- Supported Exercises - Vertical Leg Press, Wide-Stance, Narrow-Stance, High-Foot Glute Press, Single-Leg Press: Five distinct movements from one machine covering quads, glutes, hamstrings, calves, adductors, and core.
- 1-Year Parts & Labor Warranty + Lifetime Frame: Coverage begins on delivery date, with extended warranty options available. Backed by nationwide service to every ZIP code.
- Dimensions - 68" x 74" x 79" tall, 695 lb total weight: Built to commercial-grade standards with the footprint and mass to match.

Why You'll Love It
The BUILT Strength OG Series Vertical Leg Press is the kind of machine that earns its place in a serious facility - trusted by gym owners, strength coaches, and dedicated athletes who refuse to compromise on biomechanics or build quality. The vertical press path isn't a marketing detail; it's a fundamental engineering choice that changes how effectively you can load and recruit the lower body, session after session. With capacity for over 900 lb of plates on the sled, this machine won't become a limiting factor as athletes progress.
The spring-loaded safety system and lumbar-supported seat mean you can train heavy alone without a spotter, and the six integrated weight horns keep your platform clean and professional. Whether you're outfitting a commercial gym, a performance training center, or a serious home facility, the OG Series is engineered for years of dependable, high-intensity use. It ships crated with an assembly manual, and Inside Delivery & Assembly is available if you want the machine in your room, built, and ready to train on from day one.

FAQ
How is this machine delivered and does it require assembly?
The OG Series Vertical Leg Press ships crated on a freight pallet with an assembly manual included. Standard delivery is Driveway Delivery, where the freight carrier lowers the crate to your curb or driveway using a liftgate - moving it inside and unpacking it is then up to you. If you'd prefer the delivery team to bring it into your space, assemble it, test it, and remove all packaging, select Inside Delivery & Assembly in the shipping calculator or at checkout. Note that delivery options and coverage must be added at the same time as the machine purchase.
How much space do I need for this machine?
The machine itself measures 68" x 74" x 79" tall (L x W x H) and weighs 695 lb. You should also leave at least 3 feet of clearance behind the machine for full sled travel and safe mounting and dismounting. Make sure to account for ceiling height as well given the 79" tall frame.
What is the difference between a vertical leg press and a standard angled leg press?
A vertical leg press uses a true 90-degree press path, meaning the sled travels directly upward. This delivers the most direct line of force through the leg press movement, maximizing recruitment of the quads, glutes, and hamstrings. Angled sled presses, by contrast, introduce lateral shear forces that increase as loading gets heavier - forces that the vertical press path eliminates entirely. For lifters focused on maximizing lower body development under serious loads, the vertical path is the more biomechanically efficient option.
What exercises can I do on the OG Series Vertical Leg Press?
The machine supports five primary movements: Vertical Leg Press, Wide-Stance Press, Narrow-Stance Press, High-Foot Glute Press, and Single-Leg Press. The oversized 36" x 18" footplate makes all stance variations practical from the same station. Primary muscles targeted are the quadriceps, glutes, and hamstrings, with secondary work through the calves, adductors, and core.
How much weight can the sled hold, and what does the starting weight mean?
The sled accommodates up to 20 x 45 lb plates for elite-level progressive loading. The starting weight of 110 lb refers to the base resistance of the sled itself before any plates are added - so even with no plates loaded, you're pressing 110 lb. Six integrated weight horns on the machine keep plates organized and off the floor during your session.
How do I maintain the machine over time?
Maintenance is straightforward. Clean the rails monthly to remove dust and debris, and apply a light silicone lubricant to all moving components every few months to keep motion smooth and protect the hardware. Avoid oil-based lubricants, which can attract grime and degrade components over time.
What warranty does the OG Series Vertical Leg Press come with?
Every new OG Series machine includes 1 Year Parts & Labor coverage plus a Lifetime Frame warranty, beginning on the date of delivery. Extended coverage options are available at checkout - you can add 1 additional year (2 years total) or 2 additional years (3 years total) of parts and labor protection. Nationwide service is available to every ZIP code in the country.
