BUILT Strength Fractal Series Row (New)
Description
The BUILT Strength Fractal Series Row is a commercial-grade horizontal back training machine built around independent arm motion that replicates the natural feel of free-weight dumbbell rows. Each arm travels on its own path, eliminating bilateral compensation and developing balanced strength across the lats, rhomboids, trapezius, and rear deltoids simultaneously. A contoured chest pad braces the torso on every pull, removing lower back involvement and keeping the load precisely where it belongs.
With a 220 lb selectorized stack and a 613 lb 11-gauge steel frame, this machine supports everything from light activation work to serious progressive overload in high-volume professional settings. Whether you are outfitting a commercial gym, a private training studio, or a serious home facility, the Fractal Series Row delivers the durability, versatility, and biomechanical precision to build a stronger back for years to come.
Key Features
- Independent Arm Motion: Each arm pulls on its own natural path, replicating dumbbell row mechanics, eliminating bilateral compensation, and building balanced lat and rhomboid development across both sides.
- Contoured Chest Pad: Braces the torso throughout every pull, removing lower back strain and isolating the rowing load directly onto the lats, rhomboids, and rear deltoids.
- Ergonomic Seat: Positions the user at the correct body angle for the natural free-weight-inspired pulling trajectory, ensuring proper form throughout every set.
- Unilateral & Bilateral Rowing: Train both arms simultaneously for standard back loading, or isolate one arm at a time to address left-right strength imbalances - no machine reconfiguration needed.
- 220 lb Selectorized Stack: Pin-select weight system covers the full spectrum of back rowing development, from light warm-up and activation work through heavy progressive loading.
- 613 lb Commercial-Grade Frame: Built with 11-gauge (3mm) steel for structural stability that handles sustained high-volume horizontal pulling in demanding professional training environments.
- Primary Muscles Targeted: Latissimus Dorsi, Rhomboids, Trapezius, and Rear Deltoids - with Biceps Brachii, Teres Major, and Core as secondary muscles engaged.
- Dimensions - 49" x 55" x 58": Compact commercial footprint designed to fit efficiently within a gym floor layout without sacrificing structural integrity or user comfort.
- 1 Year Parts & Labor Warranty: Backed by a full 1-year parts and labor warranty with lifetime frame coverage, plus extended coverage options available at checkout.
- Fractal Series by BUILT Strength: Part of BUILT Strength's commercial Fractal Series lineup, engineered for professional-grade performance and long-term reliability.

FAQ
How does the independent arm motion differ from a standard cable row machine?
On a standard bilateral cable row, both arms are linked to the same cable or bar, which allows your stronger side to compensate for your weaker side without you realizing it. The Fractal Series Row gives each arm its own independent path, so both sides must produce equal effort on every rep. This eliminates bilateral compensation, builds more balanced strength across the lats and rhomboids, and more closely replicates the natural mechanics of a free-weight dumbbell row.
Can I train one arm at a time on this machine?
Yes. The independent arm design allows full unilateral rowing without any reconfiguration of the machine. You can simply let one arm rest while the other works, making it easy to address left-right strength imbalances or add single-arm rowing variety to your programming.
How do I select weight on a selectorized machine?
Insert the weight pin into the desired hole on the weight stack and ensure it clicks securely into place before beginning your set. The 220 lb stack is adjusted in standard increments, making it easy to progress week over week.
What are my delivery options for this machine?
The Fractal Series Row ships crated via freight. You can choose standard driveway delivery, where the carrier uses a liftgate to lower the crate to your curb or driveway, or you can add inside delivery and assembly at checkout, where a delivery team brings the machine into the room, assembles it, tests it, and removes all packaging for you.
What maintenance does this machine require?
For best performance, inspect the guide rods and weight stack alignment on a monthly basis, and wipe down the guide rods regularly. Replacing worn bushings annually will help keep the machine running smoothly. The 11-gauge steel frame is built for commercial durability and requires minimal upkeep beyond routine cleaning and inspection.
What warranty comes with this machine?
New units include a 1-year parts and labor warranty plus lifetime frame coverage, with coverage starting on the date of delivery. Extended warranty options covering up to 3 total years of parts and labor are available for purchase at checkout.
