BUILT Strength Fractal Series Pulldown (New)
Description
The BUILT Strength Fractal Series Pulldown is a commercial-grade selectorized lat pulldown machine engineered for serious upper body development in professional gym and training facility environments. Its defining feature is a pair of independent diverging arms that move on completely separate paths, eliminating dominant-side compensation and delivering truly balanced bilateral or unilateral lat training. The wide grip handle system opens up multiple hand positions within a single movement, allowing athletes to shift emphasis between outer lat width and mid-back thickness with precision.
Built on an 11-gauge steel frame rated at 585 lb and loaded with a 280 lb selectorized pin-select stack, this machine is built to absorb years of heavy daily use without compromise. Adjustable thigh pads and an ergonomic seat with back support keep users locked in and aligned through every rep, whether they're working activation sets or maximal compound pulls. For strength coaches, facility managers, and serious athletes who won't settle for anything less, the Fractal Series Pulldown sets the standard.
Key Features
- Independent Diverging Arms: Each arm moves on its own path, enabling true unilateral or bilateral lat pulldown training and eliminating dominant-side compensation for balanced left-right development.
- Wide Grip Handle System: Multiple hand positions within the same movement allow varied lat engagement angles - shifting focus between outer lat width and mid-back thickness depending on grip used.
- 280 lb Selectorized Weight Stack: Pin-select resistance stack supports progressive overload from light activation work through heavy compound pulls for advanced lifters.
- 585 lb Commercial-Grade Steel Frame: Constructed from 11-gauge (3mm) steel, the frame delivers the structural rigidity required for sustained professional and institutional training environments.
- Adjustable Thigh Pads: Anchors the user firmly during heavy bilateral and unilateral pulls, preventing body rise under load and maintaining consistent form throughout each set.
- Ergonomic Seat with Back Support: Keeps posture correct and consistent across the full pulldown arc, reducing fatigue and injury risk during high-volume training sessions.
- Primary Muscles Targeted: Latissimus Dorsi, Teres Major, and Rhomboids - with secondary engagement of the Biceps Brachii, Trapezius, Rear Deltoids, and Core.
- Dimensions - 56" x 57" x 76": Purpose-built footprint fits comfortably in dedicated strength training rooms and commercial gym floors without excessive space requirements.
- 1 Year Parts & Labor + Lifetime Frame Warranty: Backed by full manufacturer coverage on parts and labor from date of delivery, with lifetime structural protection on the frame.
- Fractal Series by BUILT Strength: Part of a cohesive commercial equipment line recognized for precision engineering, smooth selectorized action, and performance-grade construction.

FAQ
What is the difference between unilateral and bilateral training on this machine?
Bilateral training means both arms pull simultaneously, which is the standard lat pulldown movement. Unilateral training means you work one arm at a time. Because the Fractal Series has independent diverging arms, each arm moves on its own path - so you can use both arms together or isolate each side independently to address strength imbalances or add variety to your programming.
How do I select weight on this selectorized machine?
Insert the weight selector pin into the desired hole on the weight stack, ensuring it clicks fully into place before beginning your set. The 280 lb stack uses a standard pin-select system, making weight changes fast and simple between sets or users.
How is this machine delivered and does it require assembly?
The Fractal Series Pulldown ships crated via freight with an assembly manual included. You can choose standard driveway delivery, where the carrier lowers the crate to your curb or driveway using a liftgate, or upgrade to inside delivery and assembly, where the delivery team brings the machine into your space, assembles it, tests it, and removes all packaging. Professional installation can also be scheduled at checkout.
What warranty is included with this machine?
This new machine includes 1 year of parts and labor warranty coverage starting from the date of delivery, plus lifetime frame coverage. Extended warranty options - up to 2 additional years of parts and labor - are available for purchase at checkout before the order ships.
What maintenance does this pulldown machine require?
Inspect the guide rods and weight stack alignment monthly to ensure everything is seated correctly. Wipe down the guide rods regularly and plan to replace worn bushings annually as part of standard preventive maintenance. Keeping the machine clean and aligned will ensure smooth, consistent operation for years of heavy use.
Is the 280 lb weight stack enough for advanced or elite-level athletes?
For the vast majority of users - including advanced lifters - a 280 lb selectorized stack provides more than sufficient resistance for progressive lat training. The independent diverging arms also make unilateral work significantly more demanding, so each arm is working against the full stack independently when training one side at a time. For facilities serving elite strength athletes, extended stack options may be worth inquiring about.
