BUILT Strength Fractal Series Prone Leg Curl (New)
Description
The BUILT Strength Fractal Series Prone Leg Curl is a commercial-grade hamstring isolation machine engineered for gyms and serious training environments that demand precision and durability. Built around the prone face-down position, this machine keeps the hip fully extended throughout the entire curl - ensuring the hamstring begins each rep in a maximally stretched state for greater muscle fiber recruitment than seated alternatives can provide. The selectorized resistance system delivers smooth, consistent tension whether you're performing bilateral curls or single-leg unilateral work, making it equally effective for balanced strength development and corrective training.
Adjustable thigh and ankle rollers accommodate a wide range of users, keeping the knee joint correctly aligned with the pivot axis regardless of leg length or preferred positioning. At 441 lb with a compact 63" x 42" footprint, the Fractal Series Prone Leg Curl brings true commercial-grade hamstring training to facilities of any size - from large fitness centers to dedicated home gyms - without demanding excessive floor space.
Key Features
- Prone Hip-Extended Position: Face-down design keeps the hip extended throughout the curl, maximizing hamstring stretch at the start of every rep for greater recruitment than seated curl machines.
- Bilateral and Unilateral Training: Selectorized system supports both standard two-leg curls and single-leg unilateral work - ideal for left-right strength balance assessment and corrective training.
- Adjustable Thigh and Ankle Rollers: Both rollers adjust independently to fit different leg lengths and positioning preferences, keeping the knee aligned with the pivot axis for consistent loading.
- 160 lb Pin-Select Selectorized Weight Stack: Smooth, consistent resistance across the full range of motion with easy pin-select adjustability for quick transitions between users or sets.
- 11-Gauge (3mm) Steel Frame: Heavy-duty commercial frame construction built to handle the demands of high-traffic gym environments with lasting structural integrity.
- Ergonomic Prone Padding: Full-length ergonomic padding along the prone contact surface keeps users comfortable through extended hamstring training sessions without sacrificing positioning.
- Compact 63" x 42" Footprint: Efficient commercial-grade design fits into most gym layouts without claiming excessive floor space - suitable for both commercial facilities and home gyms.
- Primary Muscles - Biceps Femoris, Semitendinosus, Semimembranosus: Directly isolates all three major hamstring muscle groups through a full, controlled range of flexion.
- Secondary Muscles - Gastrocnemius and Glutes: Engages the calves and glutes as stabilizers, supporting total posterior chain development.
- Warranty - 1 Year Parts and Labor, Lifetime Frame: Backed by a full commercial warranty with extended coverage options available at time of purchase.

FAQ
What is the difference between a prone leg curl and a seated leg curl?
The key difference is hip position. In a seated leg curl, the hip is already flexed before the movement begins, which shortens the hamstring and reduces the range of recruitment. In a prone leg curl, the user lies face down with the hip fully extended - placing the hamstring in a maximally stretched position at the start of every rep. This increases the range of motion, improves muscle fiber activation, and is widely regarded as the more effective position for hamstring isolation and development.
Can this machine be used for single-leg (unilateral) training?
Yes. The Fractal Series Prone Leg Curl supports both bilateral (two-leg) and unilateral (single-leg) curls using the same selectorized resistance system. Single-leg training is particularly valuable for identifying and correcting left-right strength imbalances, rehabilitating injuries, and adding variety to progressive hamstring loading programs.
How does the roller adjustment system work?
Both the thigh roller and the ankle roller adjust independently to accommodate users of different leg lengths and body proportions. Proper adjustment ensures the knee joint is correctly aligned with the machine's pivot axis, which is critical for consistent hamstring loading and joint safety. Users should take a moment to set both rollers before each session, especially in shared or multi-user gym environments.
Does this machine require floor mounting?
Floor mounting is not required for the Fractal Series Prone Leg Curl. However, it is recommended to place the machine on a level surface and maintain at least 3 feet of clear space around it for safe access and use. The 441 lb machine weight provides substantial stability during normal training loads.
How does this machine ship, and will it require assembly?
The Fractal Series Prone Leg Curl ships freight on a crate, complete with an assembly manual. You can choose between driveway delivery - where the carrier lowers the crate to your curb or driveway via liftgate - or inside delivery and assembly, where a delivery team brings the machine into your space, assembles it, tests it, and removes all packaging. Assembly is required, and the inside delivery option is recommended for those who prefer a fully hands-off setup experience.
What warranty does this machine come with?
Every new BUILT Strength Fractal Series Prone Leg Curl includes a 1-year parts and labor warranty plus a lifetime frame warranty. Extended coverage of up to 3 total years is available for purchase at checkout. Warranty service covers the entire country - every ZIP code - so coverage is not limited by location.
