Apex LRF 35mm Mounted Thermal Riflescope
Description
The Alpen Optics Apex LRF 35mm Mounted Thermal Riflescope is a precision rifle-mounted thermal optic built for hunters and shooters who demand performance when it matters most. Engineered around a 640x512, 12 µm pixel pitch thermal sensor with sensitivity rated at less than 20 mK, this scope delivers exceptional heat detection in total darkness, dense foliage, and adverse weather conditions. The integrated laser rangefinder extends your effective reach to 1000 meters, while the 35mm objective provides a detection range of up to 1800 meters - giving you a decisive edge in the field.
Designed to mount directly to your rifle and particularly well-suited to the AR platform, the Apex LRF is as rugged as it is capable. A high-resolution OLED display, six selectable color palettes, multiple reticle styles, and five zeroing profiles ensure you can dial in your setup for any scenario. Recoil-activated video recording, built-in Wi-Fi for live streaming, and dual rechargeable batteries delivering up to 15 hours of runtime round out a feature set that is hard to match at any price point.

Why You'll Love It
The Alpen Optics Apex LRF 35mm is a serious piece of kit for hunters and shooters who refuse to let darkness or terrain dictate the outcome. Alpen has built a reputation for delivering premium optics performance at a price that respects the buyer, and the Apex LRF carries that tradition forward with confidence. Whether you are running predator calls at midnight or glassing a dark tree line for hogs, this scope lets you detect, range, and engage targets with a single integrated system. The recoil-activated recording means every shot is documented automatically, and Wi-Fi connectivity keeps your team in the loop without breaking your focus. With up to 15 hours of battery life, rugged waterproof and shockproof construction, and a thermal sensor class typically found in much more expensive units, the Apex LRF 35mm is a trustworthy companion for serious field work season after season.

FAQ
Is the Apex LRF 35mm compatible with my AR-platform rifle?
Yes - the Apex LRF is specifically designed to mount directly to a rifle and is particularly well-suited to the AR platform. It uses a standard mounting interface, so as long as your rifle has a compatible rail, you should be able to attach it without any special adapters.
What is the difference between the 35mm and 50mm models?
The primary difference is detection range. The 35mm model detects targets at up to 1800 meters, while the 50mm model extends that to 2600 meters. The 50mm's larger objective also gathers more thermal energy, which can improve image clarity at extreme distances. If you are hunting in open, wide-ranging terrain, the 50mm is worth considering. For most predator and hog hunting scenarios, the 35mm is more than capable and offers a more compact package.
How does recoil-activated video recording work?
The scope's built-in accelerometer detects the shock of recoil when you fire and automatically triggers video recording. This means you do not need to manually start recording before each shot - the scope handles it for you. All footage is saved to the 32GB of internal storage and can be transferred wirelessly via Wi-Fi to your device.
Can I use this scope in the rain or wet conditions?
Yes. The Apex LRF is built to be waterproof and shockproof, making it suitable for use in rain, heavy dew, and other wet field conditions. Its rugged construction is designed to hold up to the demands of serious hunting and shooting use.
How long does the battery last, and can I swap batteries in the field?
The scope uses a rechargeable 18650 battery system. With two batteries, you can achieve up to 15 hours of thermal imaging runtime. The 18650 format is a common rechargeable cell, which means spare batteries are easy to find and carry in the field for extended trips.
Does this scope replace my daytime optic, or does it add on to it?
The Apex LRF 35mm is a standalone rifle-mounted thermal riflescope - it is intended to be used in place of a traditional daytime optic when thermal imaging is needed. It is not a clip-on device that attaches in front of an existing scope. If you are looking for a thermal clip-on solution, Alpen also offers the Apex 640 50mm Riflescope Thermal Clip-On.
