Model PT2213BR
Description
The ProTek Model PT2213BR is a 42mm professional dive watch built for those who demand performance beneath the surface and style above it. Crafted from 316L stainless steel with a striking Blue PVD finish, this timepiece is engineered to handle the rigors of serious diving while turning heads at every depth. At its core is a dependable Japanese TMI 24-jewel automatic mechanical movement, keeping precise time without the need for a battery.
What truly sets the PT2213BR apart is its Swiss Self-powered Pro-Glo T25 tritium illumination system, which glows continuously for 25 years without ever needing to be charged by an external light source - delivering 100 times the brightness of conventional photoluminescent lume. Paired with a solid link stainless steel bracelet in matching Blue IP plating and a sapphire crystal with antireflective coating, this watch delivers a seamless blend of bold aesthetics and rugged, diver-grade functionality.

FAQ
What is tritium illumination and how is it different from standard lume?
Tritium illumination, like the Swiss Pro-Glo T25 system used in this watch, is a self-powered light source that uses small amounts of tritium gas to produce a constant glow - no sunlight or artificial light needed to "charge" it. Standard photoluminescent lume must absorb light first and then fades over hours. The T25 tritium system glows continuously for 25 years and is rated 100x brighter than conventional lume, making it far superior for genuine low-light and underwater use.
Is this watch suitable for scuba diving?
Yes. The PT2213BR is rated water resistant to 200 meters, which meets and exceeds the standard requirements for recreational scuba diving. It features a unidirectional dive timing bezel, screw-in crown with multiple O-rings, and a screw-in caseback - all standard features of a purpose-built dive watch. Every unit is individually tested in both air and water before shipping.
Does the automatic movement require any maintenance?
Automatic mechanical movements are generally recommended for a service every 3-5 years under normal use conditions. The TMI movement in this watch is a well-regarded Japanese caliber known for its reliability. Keep the crown screwed in when not setting the time or date to maintain water resistance, and avoid exposing the watch to strong magnetic fields or extreme shocks to prolong movement life.
Can the bracelet be adjusted or swapped out?
The solid link bracelet can typically be adjusted using standard watch tools to add or remove links for a proper fit. The 22mm lug width is a very common standard, which means a wide variety of aftermarket straps - including rubber dive straps, NATO straps, and leather options - can be easily fitted to personalize the watch.
What does Blue PVD and Blue IP plating mean?
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) and IP (Ion Plating) are both advanced coating processes that bond a thin, hard layer of colored finish to the stainless steel components. These processes produce a durable, corrosion-resistant finish that is far more resilient than traditional paint or electroplating. On the PT2213BR, the Blue PVD bezel, crown, and Blue IP bracelet give the watch its bold, distinctive colorway while maintaining the toughness expected of a dive instrument.
