Kinetec Centura CEM Elbow CPM Module
Description
The Kinetec Centura CEM is a Continuous Passive Motion (CPM) elbow module designed to deliver anatomically correct extension and flexion in an abducted position. Built for post-operative and rehabilitation use, this device helps restore range of motion with precise, controlled movement that supports the body's natural healing process. With a clinical-grade range of motion spanning from 10 degrees of extension to 135 degrees of flexion, it covers the full functional arc needed for effective elbow rehabilitation.
The Centura CEM features quick and easy changeover from an existing shoulder pattern, making it a practical addition to facilities already using Kinetec Centura shoulder units. Adjustable pronation and supination in an abducted, rotated plane allows clinicians to tailor the therapy protocol to each patient's specific needs. Trusted by rehabilitation professionals, this module represents Kinetec's commitment to precise, patient-centered passive motion therapy.

FAQ
What is a CPM machine and how does it help elbow recovery?
A Continuous Passive Motion (CPM) machine moves a joint through a controlled range of motion without the patient actively engaging muscles. For elbow rehabilitation, CPM therapy helps reduce post-surgical stiffness, promotes cartilage nourishment, and accelerates the restoration of range of motion. It is commonly prescribed following procedures such as elbow arthroplasty, fracture repair, or tendon surgery.
Is the Kinetec Centura CEM compatible with the Centura shoulder CPM unit?
Yes. The Centura CEM elbow module is designed for quick and easy changeover from an existing Kinetec Centura shoulder CPM pattern, making it highly convenient for facilities that already own Centura shoulder units. This modularity saves cost and reduces equipment clutter in clinical settings.
What range of motion does this device support?
The Kinetec Centura CEM supports elbow extension to 10 degrees and flexion to 135 degrees. It also provides adjustable pronation and supination in an abducted, rotated plane, giving clinicians the flexibility to set the appropriate motion parameters for each patient's rehabilitation stage.
Is this device intended for home use or clinical/facility use?
The Kinetec Centura CEM is a professional-grade clinical device primarily designed for use in hospitals, orthopedic clinics, and outpatient rehabilitation facilities. It may also be used in a supervised home health setting when prescribed by a physician or physical therapist.
How large and heavy is this unit - will it work at bedside?
The Centura CEM measures 19.5" x 11.25" x 15.5" and weighs 47 lbs. Its compact dimensions make it suitable for bedside use, and the weight reflects its durable, clinical-grade construction. Please ensure the mounting surface or bed frame is appropriate for the unit before setup.
