Description
The Garmin LiveScope Plus LVS34-IF is the pinnacle of live sonar technology for ice fishing, delivering enhanced high-frequency imaging with superior clarity and better target separation than ever before. Designed specifically for cold-weather conditions, this transducer pairs with compatible Garmin chartplotters via the GLS 10 sonar black box to give you a real-time, detailed view beneath the ice. The LiveScope Plus system offers improved resolution and reduced noise compared to standard LiveScope, so you can track fish and jig movement with remarkable precision.
Whether you're drilling into a frozen lake at first light or setting up in a heated shanty, the LVS34-IF's durable, flexible cold-weather transducer cable is built to perform in harsh winter environments. FAQ
What is the difference between LiveScope and LiveScope Plus?
LiveScope Plus is Garmin's enhanced version of the original LiveScope system. It delivers higher clarity, improved resolution, and better target separation compared to standard LiveScope. This means you get a sharper, cleaner picture under the ice with less noise and more precise fish and jig tracking.
Does the LVS34-IF work with my existing Garmin chartplotter?
The LVS34-IF transducer requires a GLS 10 sonar black box to connect to a compatible Garmin chartplotter. It is not a direct plug-in to all chartplotters - you'll need to verify that your display unit is compatible with the GLS 10 module. Check Garmin's compatibility list or contact us and we'll help you confirm before purchasing.
Can this transducer be used for open-water fishing, or is it ice-only?
The LVS34-IF model is specifically designed for ice fishing. The "IF" designation stands for Ice Fishing. It features a cold-weather flexible cable and a 0-degree pole mount optimized for dropping through an ice hole. For open-water use, Garmin offers other LiveScope Plus transducer models suited for transom or trolling motor mounting.
What does the 0-degree pole mount do?
The included 0-degree LiveScope pole mount holds the transducer at a straight downward angle when deployed through your ice hole. This allows you to scan directly beneath your position in LiveScope Down mode, or rotate the transducer to look forward and sideways in LiveScope Forward mode - giving you full coverage of the water column around and in front of your hole.
Is the GLS 10 sonar module included with this transducer?
No, the GLS 10 sonar black box is sold separately. The LVS34-IF transducer connects to your compatible Garmin chartplotter through the GLS 10 module. If you need a complete ready-to-use package, Garmin also offers the LiveScope Plus Ice Fishing Kit and Bundle, which include additional components.
