Description
The Birch Direwolf Mid-Drive Hunting eBike is built for hunters who demand serious off-road capability and the hauling power to match. Powered by a 1000W BAFANG mid-drive motor with 160Nm of torque, it conquers steep climbs, deep snow, sand, and rugged backcountry terrain with confident, precise control. A massive 1200Wh battery delivers up to 85 miles of pedal-assisted range, so you can push deeper into the wild without worrying about running out of juice.
The Rack Set configuration adds dedicated front and rear loading points, turning the Direwolf into a true pack-out machine capable of carrying up to 400 lbs total payload. Fat 26" x 4" CST puncture-resistant tires absorb the punishment of uneven ground, while 180mm inverted air suspension and hydraulic disc brakes keep you in control no matter what the terrain throws at you. UL 2849 certified for full-system electrical safety, the Direwolf is engineered to perform reliably from the trailhead to the far backcountry.

FAQ
Is the Birch Direwolf UL certified?
Yes. The Direwolf is certified under UL 2849, a recognized U.S. safety standard for electric bikes. This certification covers the entire electrical system - including the battery, motor, controller, and charger - not just the battery alone. It means the system has been independently tested to reduce risks like overheating, short circuits, and electrical failure.
What is the range of the Direwolf on a single charge?
The Direwolf is rated for up to 85 miles on pedal assist and up to 45 miles on throttle-only mode. Actual range will vary depending on rider weight, terrain, load, temperature, and assist level used. For hunting trips deep into the backcountry, pedal assist mode will maximize your range.
How much weight can the Direwolf carry?
The Direwolf has a total payload capacity of 400 lb., which includes the rider and all gear. The rear rack supports up to 110 lb. and the front rack supports up to 33 lb., making the Rack Set well-suited for packing out harvests and hauling hunting equipment into the field.
What colors are available?
The Birch Direwolf Rack Set is available in three finishes: Badlands Camo, Forest Camo, and Desert Tan - all designed to blend into hunting environments.
Is the Direwolf difficult to assemble?
The Direwolf is designed for quick installation and comes with an installation video to guide you through the process. Most riders are able to complete setup without professional assistance. If you have questions during assembly, Birch's customer support team is available to help.
Where does this eBike ship, and how long does it take?
The Direwolf ships free to the lower 48 contiguous U.S. states and is typically dispatched within 2 business days. Shipping is not available to New York City, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Alaska, PO Boxes, or APO addresses. The bike ships as a package - not on a freight pallet - so no special receiving equipment is required.
What warranty does the Birch Direwolf come with?
The Direwolf comes with a 2-year warranty for peace of mind. Additionally, Birch offers a 30-day return policy so you can test the bike and return it hassle-free if it doesn't meet your needs.
